Our HUGE backlog of slugs to test
Ever wonder how many slugs we have to test out?
Testing out Ronnie's BACK-FIRE slug
Thank you again for supporting the channel. This year has been rough so far on Youtube.
Finally! A slug made out of JACKS!
Brian's latest creation. Thank again for your support. We really need it right now.
Compilation of viewer-created Slugs
I've have a terrible cold this past week so I thought it would be a good opportunity to showcase some of the cool slugs viewers have sent. I know I missed a couple great creators so, sorry about that!
Brian's WILD Quad-Bolo Slug
Gregg is back and he brought a friend with him named Lonzo. I'm hoping to have Lonzo out as he is quite enthusiastic about helping me out. Hopefully I don't have to do too many more solo filmings and I can stay behind the camera and do my job there.
A slug full of 26 nails = The Hornet's Nest
Breanna and her dad Doug join us today to test out Jay's latest Franken-Slug. These are quite impressive, I hope you enjoy hanging out with us!
Mouse Ball Slugs - Re-edit
Youtube was threatening me with a strike if I left the original version up - they had an issue with my showing how these were loaded in a shell. (I am able to get insider feedback from a special set of reviewers that most channels don't have access to) So we basically get right to the shooting in this video.
Testing the PINHEAD slug
We also test out the new remote trigger!
Redefining our understanding of INERTIA
In this video I spotted some interesting and completely unexpected phenomenon where the very fast energy wave was counteracted by the overall velocity of the sum of the mass. We usually think of inertia affecting only solid objects like a ball or a bullet in motion wanting stay in motion. Thank you for your support be it by channel membership or a buck a month on Patreon. I really appreciate it. https://www.patreon.com/c/taofledermaus
.675 WARHAMMER - Super Cavitating Shotgun Slug - TESTED!
Today we test out some very nicely made slugs by Nick Ross, his first slug submission to us. We had a few hiccups but luckily were able to find some clues on how to solve this in the field.
Fascinating early Russian Prototype 12ga Sabot Round
Over three years in the making! It took that long to figure out to make this challenging slug to function using American powders. It would be way too easy to just load something like this hastily and screw it up and blow the opportunity to test such rare pieces.
45-70 Sabot Round - a VERY difficult load
The sun came out so I headed right out and filmed another video this week. As you know, I can produce videos much faster if I don't have to rely on friends to come out and shoot for me. I have a lot of stuff to catch up on and can't afford to wait 2 or 3 WEEKS between uploads. Thanks again for your generous support!
The .675 Gold Tip Slug
I have had a REALLY hard time getting help film the videos since Gregg moved. Last weekend I had planned out a shoot with a local guy who has been in a few videos and I waited an hour for him to show up and he just plan forgot - I guess. At that point I decided to come up with a way to just film these videos by myself. Enjoy! thanks for the continued support.
Evan's Vigilante Slug - releasing a micro-slug
We never said this was easy!
Evan's Blockbuster slug - Physics is a harsh mistress
A rare test where Evan's slugs completely fail.
Jay's Amazing Select-A-Slug
This is an impressive one!
Brian's amazing Magneto Slug
Brian is getting better and better! Thanks everyone for your support!
Osight X red dot
I rarely do product reviews but here ya go!
We test the mighty HERRERA slug
Dan Herrera from Washington modified a Russian slug mold to use the Thug Slug wads. The design seems to work remarkably well.
A.R.M. Gatekeeper Technical Details + Tire Test
In this video I discuss this amazing slug in more detail, how it is loaded, my thoughts of the Gatekeeper Black, and show more of the tire test since people thought the test wasn't accurate.
Gatekeeper BLACK - Can you ruin perfection?
The original Gatekeeper was one of the best commercial slugs we tested and many viewers agreed. The owner of A.R.M. decided to fiddle with the design by adding a 31 caliber hardened steel ball to it, and hold it in place with melted wax. I think he wanted to make it "armor piercing" but as you will see, the modification nearly ruined everything.
First tests of our .70 caliber rocket bullets
Not bad for a first test! A few tweaks and these might just be a viable slug.
Brian's Needler Slug - Impressive!
Thanks everyone for your support on Patreon
Double-Barrel Shotgun PISTOL using GRAPESHOT for self-defense?
In this video we test out the American Gun Craft 12ga. pistols using a grapeshot load to simplify and speed up the loading process. We also used White Hot preformed powder pellets. How does this configuration work for self-defense.
Testing Ballistic Machinist's newest prototype
Tim sent us ONE of these slugs, not really enough to do a full test by any means but it sure looked promising and hopefully he will be inspired to make more and maybe even sell them if there is enough interest in the design.
Evan's Crop Dusting shotgun slugs
A hollow, steel slug filled with powder with nothing really holding the powder in place. The results are actually quite interesting!
Jay's Frag-nado slug!
A really heavy, miserable to shoot slug but performed like magic!
Shotgun Slug made from a counter-sink bit
These worked surprisingly well. Thank you Brian!
