What Would You Add to the Fruit of the Spirit List?

.... I'm really having fun with this Fruit of the Spirit section. This is such a different exercise from so much of what we do around here. Thanks for lingering here with me so patiently.
It's not lost on me that a podcast featuring ....
a lightning bolt for its logo also got mostly shut down this week because it got struck by lightning.Also, pretty much everything is fixed now. What a week....
So Much Love
Yep, we're still working on literally the first word on the list of the fruit of the spirit, and I have no regrets.
We're still on love...
...and I don't think it's just to even out everything from the other list. Maybe a little? Mostly I think love is an ultra-top-tier important Bible concept and it's worth looking around the New Testament to get a sense of exactly what the Bible means when it uses that word.
Heads up - New Thing is Out
The new video on Leviticus just came out over on the YouTube channel. What's with the Snowbabies?
My life has taken a turn for the worse since I made the mistake of talking about Snowbabies on this podcast. I regret my decisions on this point. But what I don't regret..........IS A WHOLE BUNCH OF EPISODES ABOUT LOVE IN THE BIBLE!!!! And that's what's coming your way. We spent a long time on the very bad things list and now we're spending time on the bestestest part of the very good things list.

The bad stuff list
This section about the stuff that comes from the flesh/sinful nature is intense. This section will get into our business. It's going to touch some painful nerves and resurface some difficult memories, but don't despair - this list falls in the middle of a book about real forgiveness, new life in Christ and right standing with God in spite of our worst stuff because of his work.

All this stuff Paul's saying is counterintuitive because we're used to doing things when we want to get things, but Paul's saying that it's God who makes it possible to have right standing with Him and God who makes it possible to obey Him and live a life that honors Him. Should I Send You All Philemon Notebooks?
Philemon is the next book up and in the past we've always sent everyone who supports a little blank notebook that says the name of the new series on it. Romans Detour Ahead
Romans has a lot of the same stuff as Galatians, but Paul says it slower and with less urgency to try to stop the circumcision line. Why is that? How do these two letters relate? We'll cover that, and then we'll work through a chunk of Romans that's pertinent to what we've been working on.

I'm not sure what to make of Jeff cutting it up with this circumcision stuff.
I mean it would be one thing if the Apostle Paul were cracking circumcision jokes in the middle of the text.... wait.....
Did I get the martial arts stuff right?
Did Paul go and grab the stuff about Sarai and Hagar because he felt like it, or did he bring it up because the agitators had already pointed to that story? I still don't know, but I think we can get to the point either way.ONLY SLIGHTLY LESS IMPORTANTLY: Jeff's outro.

This emotional interlude is such a change of pace and so interesting. It's Been a Minute
Well, not for you. It's like Interstellar, where your time and my time pass at different rates. I've been shut off from the world and feverishly working on a book manuscript for weeks, but this week we're back to synchronous. I've missed you.We've got some stuff to catch up on and we've got a bit of a Bible riddle starting in Galatians 4:12.
Wow! So very little consensus!
I LOVED reading all your ideas and suggestions for where to go with the next season, but also no clear and obvious pattern emerged. We'll keep that conversation going over the next few weeks. I have my ideas, but I'm still thinking it through.I'm missing narrative stuff, but I'd also love to get more value out of the work we've put in with Paul. Hmmmmmm.
