Dev Update #4 (08/12/23)

Render Progress: 92 renders, 1 animation (made up of 105 renders that took 36 hours to render!). The render progress should be a bit higher, but I've been doing Jiu Jitsu renders which take me much longer to setup, because of how I have to meticulously pose each character (both for Jiu Jitsu accuracy, but also making sure that all the jumble of limbs and body parts are not clipping with each other or the floor). I have wrapped up with the Jiu Jitsu part of this update though, so you can expect some faster progress.
But I actually have some interesting things to talk about with you guys this time, so, let's talk about them.
- Rate of progress: I want to average ~300 renders a month. That should be more than 30 minutes of content per month. Since I started rendering for v0.2 around November 20-21, I hope to reach that 300 render mark by December 20-21 (animation renders don't count towards the 300). This leads me to my next point...
- v0.2's release date: I'm aiming to release v0.2 two weeks early for purple-belts in early January, then a week later for blue-belts, and finally, a week after that for white-belts and the public. This will either be the last, or second-to-last, free release. After that, the game will only be available for blue-belt+ patrons.
- Tier updates: There will be two new tiers coming with the next release, the brown-belt and black-belt tiers. I'm still finalizing benefits, but I'm thinking black-belts will be able to request 1 of 1 renders of any character, in any situation. Additionally, I've temporarily updated the blue-belt tier to give you access to the game 1 week early. Originally, it was just "game access", which I had setup that way for when my game eventually becomes patron only; but of course, since my game is still free, I felt it only fair to change that temporarily for my blue-belts. This will go back to just "game access", when the game is no longer free (either v0.3 or v0.4). But besides that, there won't be any changes to existing tiers, just two new tiers added.
- Removing v0.1's lewd scene: I already mentioned this on Discord, but I will be removing the lewd scene that was present in v0.1. The scene just comes out of nowhere, and was only included just so v0.1 could have a lewd scene. I didn't realize just how out of place it was until I played through v0.1 again last week, after not having played it since release (before release I was playing it every single day duing development). After release, I've been focused on v0.2's development, so I hadn't played v0.1 in a while. This time away from playing it helped me see things more clearly. I'm still not sure if I will remove it for v0.2 or v0.3 yet, but yeah, expect it gone very soon.

Nice! I can't wait to see those Jiu Jitsu renders in action. I also can't wait for V0.2. Yeah, I understand. I did feel that the lewd scene was out of place. It could have been a nice moment for MC and Ava.
