"Heart of Ice" mp3
🕑 Added 2023-07-04 18:22:38 +0000 UTCIt's a new song! 🥳 Someone on YouTube challenged me to flip to a random page of the Monster Manual and write a song about whatever it was. We flipped to "Frost Giant" and this is what we came up!
I'm very happy with it, other than the fact that I didn't look up how tall Frost Giants are until after we finished, and they are definitely 20+ feet tall 😅 So that'll be the comment section drinking game for this one I guess...
I'm aiming for this video to come out on July 12!
Lyrics
Heart of ice, heart of ice, heart of ice
Gazing out over my ruined town
It’s cold, but that’s not what’s got me down
The storm has passed and the blood has dried
But that’s not why I’m aching deep inside
She left me with a heart of ice
If you’re falling for a glacial gal, you better think twice
Hear my song and heed my advice
You think that you can thaw her out, but don’t roll the dice
We met as the first snow gently fell
She towered above me, and I could tell
Just exactly how hard I’d fall
‘Cause she’s a ten and she’s ten feet tall
I wondered how to catch her eye
Before the pillaging ended and she said goodbye
She wants brute strength and terrible might
But my heart’s my strongest muscle and I don’t wanna fight
She left me with a heart of ice
If you’re falling for a glacial gal, you better think twice
Hear my song and heed my advice
You think that you can thaw her out, but don’t roll the dice
If only we could lay beneath a blanket of snow,
If only I could live a life at fifteen below
Maybe I could catch her without catching a cold
And melt away that ice to find a heart made of gold
But she left me with a heart of ice
If you’re falling for a glacial gal, you better think twice
‘Cause she left me with a heart of ice
I thought that we would share a winter paradise
Oh, she left with a heart of ice
So unless your heart is something you could sacrifice
Hear my song and heed my advice
You think that you can thaw her out, but don’t roll the dice.

10 feet tall could still work for the overly literal... just tell them the giant did the measuring, and if they want to standardize imperial measurements with fictional giants they can... um. No, swivel on it's too mean. Roll intimidation at disadvantage? Winner gets d4 Internet Points. :D
