Is the entire film in Joker's head??...I like my Joker origins to be multiple choice, which is what this film really acomplishes. Joker is an unreliable narrator, so how can you determine which scenes are real and which are all in his head?...

Would be interesting to find out very few of these things actually happened and the next movie is another possible origin story. So that way the Joker still retains his mystery because any of the movies could be the true story.. or none of them. Probably not what they'll do with it, was just a thought.

The Director has confirmed that in movie joker does NOT kill Zazie Beats character and there was going to be a scene of her watching him on tv killing Murray and stuff but they cut it out because every scene in the movie has phoneix in it and they wanted to stick to that so every other scene in movie that Joker was not in was cut

Other than Bruce's parents getting killed outside of the theatre, and the fact that he wouldnt be aware of any of the stuff that was outside his life.

Yeah, I was like Shane here. So much cringe, the short comedy stuff was what kept me from hiding my face. I love when movies can make you feel anything that much.

I had a very similar reaction to Shane when I first watched the movie. It’s a lot easier to praise on a second viewing because the first fills you full of dread, that being said it’s easily my favorite movie of 2019 and I can’t praise it enough in my mind

Honnestly this movIe is just kinda OK for me it does a good job style and acting wise with some memorable scenes(when he kills the fat guyvwith gary the interview with Murray etc) but I don't feel it fully commits to anything and is Slow early onwithout it having any real depth(blade runner, Scorsese film, kubrick etc) though maybe I shouldn't try to compare it to those films,(though I think it clearly takes inspiration from those)

I was listening to a Kevin Smith podcast and he mentioned there was a scrapped ending where Joker after shooting Bruce Wayne's parents, laughs, turns around and shoots child Bruce, implying it's a universe without Batman. Would've been a bold af move.
