It's been a couple weeks since the release and I'd love to give you all some updates alongside some exclusive behind the scenes notes on our concept art!

Updates Since Release
Shortly after the big animation release last month, my wife and I had to travel abroad to attend a family wedding (and to enjoy our own honeymoon). It was a great refresher from the intensity of digital art, especially since we got to see lots of rolling green hills & medieval architecture.
Got lots of in-person inspiration for castle designs!
Sadly we both caught some illnesses while travelling, and are taking our time to get back into the art-swing-of-things.
On the upside, the new animation has reached over 1 Million views! To celebrate this, KAPanims made a short animation to show thanks to our viewers:

I'll continue to support the release of Story #8 with streams, updates to the WorldAnvil (wiki), & steady merch as we transition into our next project(s).

Once these side projects are done, expect an announcement about a new animation, smaller scale than Story 8, but with a more rapid release window (similar to our previous stories #0-7).
I'm excited to use the new techniques we learned toward a leaner production.

Id have really liked a segment of mar's entanglement with the dragon, but i think what we got was more effective in communicating the themes story 8 was there to convey. Im eager to see how the inner void motif will contribute to future stories.
