I had a bit of a creative dry spell, so it took me a lot longer to get this print along. But we took a trip to Seattle to house/cat sit for my sister in law, and I got to see a lot of the trees changing for the first time in 10 years! I knew I wanted to do an illustration of Vivian and Spinelli, but the dark dreary aesthetic I was considering got replaced with wonderful autumn vibes. The weekend was LONG, I only went to NYCC for 1.5 days, and I'm SPENT. Tami and I got a lot of merch and books to read; I got to meet my editors for The Dog Knight and Northranger and even met Melissa Capriliogne, the colorist for The Dog Knight.
