If your computer has 2 graphics cards, please test in the MilkDropPanel > GraphicsDo you see your 2 cards with the right name?Does the main one / active one name is displayed directly on top of the drop down menu?Can you select them / does it work? MilkDrop's mother of all GUI

Last month I've started coding the ultimate GUI for MilkDrop.It will be entirely customizable and insanely fast (up to 32 threads!), you'll be able to control everything with a proper interface.I'm coding a special version of MD3 for VJs too, focused on performance and stability :)

MIDI Controls for MilkDrop 3 :)

A small preview of what I'm working on. This is a really, really early alpha version, but the hardest part is coded (listing all the MIDI devices, catching the keys/knobs/pads with various intensities, making MilkDrop react...). Now the fun part begins! I should be able to map any action possible to a MIDI input. I'm using my shader injection techniques so the result is savable anytime to the .milk file!

Bug tracking

Have you seen this screen while using MilkDrop3 or 3+ ?This is the default crash screen of MilkDrop, it's pretty old, I should update it because it probably have nothing to do with running up of video memory nowadays.I've seen it a few time while using MilkDrop3 (not the + version, or a lot less at least), but I'm an extreme user (loading multiple sprites, entering / exiting full screen, injecting effects...) and I need to track it down to understand why it's happening more on Mi...

A few updates on what I'm working on:I'll be just making/mashing new presets this week, because I haven't got the time to really try my new sprite features ;)Sprites will be an ongoing thing to improve, there is so much to be done, loading the sprites faster, keeping them in memory, pre-loading all the sprites when MilkDrop starts, allowing to save multiple sprites in one preset, be able to edit them separately... this is going to be fun.I may be able to update the audio capture code...

MilkDrop 3.25

Well, it's finally here! 😊 Save any sprite directly in the milk file! Click and hold the right mouse button to move the sprite around the screen to any position, and resize it using your mouse wheel. The sprite menu has been completely recoded. Choose from 5 sprite layers with the 'Layers' menu: you can fully merge your image in the preset! New sprite effects are available, and you can now cumulate them too! The folders 'sprites' and 'textures' are the same for MD3...

In the version coming up in a few days, you'll be able to merge any images deeper into the shaders; your image won't just be floating on the top but will be IN the shader :)Also, you'll be able to accumulate all the sprite effects!

Quick update

I've fixed 3 bugs the past 3 days!2 small ones, the repeat menu not working and the opacity menu a bit buggy.most important is a bug that I've been tracking for a month now, the loaded sprite was randomly disappearing, it's fix now! please just download the MilkDrop 3.exe and replace it.

MilkDrop 3.25+

A pretty huge update for MilkDrop:- Save any images directly in the .milk or .milk2 file! Just drag 'n' drop any images (jpg, png, bmp, jfif) on the window and move it with your right click and resize it with your mouse-wheel.- New sprite menu, a lot smarter: it won't be activated if no sprite is loaded, the settings are checked or disable if not available. Some people are getting confused between the 3.30 versions and the normal 3.2x version available on github so I decided to rebrand the 3.30 versions to 3+The plus version will be the latest and greatest version of MilkDrop3 with a few extras:- They will always have twice the amount of presets- Ability to select your audio device- Spout supportAnd a few extras options ;)So the next plus version will be MilkDrop 3.25+ and the normal 3.25 version will be available on 03.03.204!

Reshade + MilkDrop3 = :)

I recently discovered Reshade (thanks to Incubo_) and it's pretty amazing what you can do! Reshade pretends to be the DirectX9 driver,gets the last image from MilkDrop, and add some extra effects on top before sending it back to the real DirectX9 driver.
