I wish I was a shining star process

I started this piece in January and I took my time to let it cook. I used a bunch of mediums and programs to create this one. I switched between photoshop, procreate, blender, watercolors, markers, and colored pencils. I find myself enjoying the process so much more when I try different things at once. This painting went through so much. I repainted it like 20 times. I started it on my sketchbook in April of last year then tried to paint it in Photoshop like every month. My mental health was suffering at the time so it came out looking lifeless no matter how much I tried. You can see how clearer and lighter it looks now because that's how I've been feeling lately!Moral of the story: take care of your mental health <3

Happy New Year!I discovered this song called Flowers Grow out of My Grave around November last year and I just, fell in love with it. By now, you probably know that when I like a song I have to paint something inspired by it. I had to repaint it a lot because it just never looked right, but I'm glad I didn't give up on it yay. Half a dream - sketch & inspiration

Part of the inspiration was this butterfly that I found with a ripped wing. Its wings somehow got wet then it got stuck on the ground. Luckily once the water dried out of them it was able to fly again :’)I struggled to create the feeling I wanted during the sketching phase but I finished the piece fairly quickly. My sketches always tend to look like children who may or may not grow a bit older in the process haha

Back in march, I was listening to this song called Welcome Change by Phum Viphurit and I absolutely fell in love with it. The words “ I want to be kind to you" kept ringing in my head days after hearing the song. I was going through a hard time and to be honest, I was not feeling amazing about myself.
