Complementary Technique — Harmonizing Colors
Just sharing one of my approaches for choosing color. In the future I will post more examples of works where I have used this one or of traditional art where similar techniques seems to have been used.
More Fidget?
After the last request, I don't feel like I'm done with her yet!... What do you think of these options for another image? (probably will be ready till the next month).Closer look: https://orig00.deviantart.net/9581/f/2018/263/a/e/vote_fidget_by_ancesra-dcndh0y.png

September Requests
I'm making a test and instead of selecting myself some of the month's request I want to see which ones patrons prefer to see fully complete. The 3 options with more votes will be completely painted/shaded. The others will be in the rewards folder as usual.*On a side note this was a slow week for painting since I was out of the city for some days (plus the young Krystal image took some time). Returning after this weekend posts updates should back to normal.

Oasis — Steps gif (NSFW)
I haven't played the game but I liked her design. In general I like exotic characters in tribal clothes/armor motifs.I'm still thinking about if there is some edits that could be done.About the process. This is practically the same method I used with Secret Spring but in a quick fashion (only two days): First lineart Then base color below the lineart with very rough lights and shadows Finally "blur" colors, refine edges and paint the rest over the lineart.Layered SAI file will be...

Trello WIP list and previews
I created a list in Trello of all the current and possible projects, including the monthly requests and a waiting list for commissions. I think its easier to maintain and understand than the list I was using before updating my overview. It can change of course, sometimes I make spontaneous drawings like Elora that was not contemplated so its not definitive. You can consult it anytime from a link on my overview page or here:https://trello.com/b/le6Z9VWB/ancesra-wip--The image in the post is a prev...

Carol action (Gesture notes)
Gesture is trying to capture the main action of a character with as few lines as possible. It helps to align the construction of a character to a base so it has rhythm and energy.Just as you might know, I almost always start my drawings with a gestural idea/sketch. Later it can change in some parts like limbs, head, etc. but the main action remains.Main gesture here is just 4 lines or 5 lines. Even if the gesture is not shown in the later stages of the drawing, the final drawing should be able t...

Nude Beach - Step Progress, Journal
This was a complex commission but it was very fun to do. I tried a lot of things I usually don't get asked to make since the sketching phase.About the process:In the beginning I was thinking in an interior scene, experimented a lot with interior light, a room, a cottage, etc, but in the end I didn't like it in combination with the white fur and decided it was better an exterior scene with natural light, like a beach.Another trouble I encounter was that the initial body and face shape did...
