MIRAMAR pin-up (Kickstarter is live right now!)
From the pages of GRIZ GROBUS - check out MIRAMAR by Simon Roy and Stefan Tosheff on Kickstarter, right now! Because Captain Sarita SAYS SO!Few ruminations on this drawing itself: I tend to be very anal about what gets done with what and how, and especially what gets turned into a screentone digitally, so my drawings often come together in their final look only in digital/print versions. And I’ve been meaning to try and nail this very particular look for a very good while - here's a couple...
GUNDAMTOBER 14: Amuro Ray/RX-93 ν Gundam
And there's our gloomy kid again, too!
GUNDAMTOBER 13: Char Aznable/MSN-04 Sazabi
Yep, it's THAT guy again! :DI think I'm just 2 more entries away from the end of the series (thus, very close to actually completing the zine). And tbh, I'm not sure whether I should get myself busy with another tiny project over the rest of this month and possibly continuing into November, or just focus on my regular work and schedule. #Gundamtober as a social media thing brought next to zero new subscribes to this Patreon, and as much as I hate being mercantile, I actually have to ...
A little secret
Piece of art made for a friends' project pitch! ^___^This one was done digitally, as I tend to do with big and complicated tapestries in color, so the process for it was pretty peculiar.
GUNDAMTOBER 12: Callahan/MSM-07 Z'Gok
Zeon grunts in Gundam are always just so lovely, with the most punchable kissers! I wish I was able to fit some of the ugly bastards from Black Tri-Stars - or maybe even Dozle himself - into the zine T__TBut I had a already finished Z'Gok that needed a pilot, so we get this guy:
GUNDAMTOBER 11: Gavane Goonny/MS-06 Borjarnon
Gone so soon T___T
GUNDAMTOBER 9: Char Aznable/MS-06S Char's Zaku II
There he is, the pampered brat, man with a thousand faces, hero of the revolution!(I keep forgetting to take a picture of "raw" pencils, or even multiple pencil photos, because this one had actually two different iterations oh Char's face, and first one absolutely sucked)
GUNDAMTOBER 7: Daryl Lorenz/"Psycho Zaku"
My second favorite Gundam guy, my boy Daryl!
GUNDAMTOBER 6: Harry Ord/MRC-F20 SUMO
Harry is probably my favorite character design in the entirety of Gundams, Akira Yasuda is simply undefeatable.
Shin Godzilla (Baby!) (commission)
Don't we all love him, folks?
GUNDAMTOBER 4: Norris Packard/MS-07B-3 Gouf Custom
This one makes me happy about my recent dive into halftone shading, because look at how less expressive the initial version of the portrait (without face shading) was!
GUNDAMTOBER 3: Amuro Ray/RX-78-02 Gundam
This series will mostly consist of my older Mobile Suit drawings followed up by newly made MS pilot portraits, but It's a nice chance to retouch a couple of old character portraits, too! This one was done a couple of years ago as a gift to my fried -
GUNDAMTOBER 1: Io Fleming/FA-78 Full Armor Gundam
I'm finally using Inktober as an excuse to finish my Gundam zine, whoooo! This month's series will mostly consist of new Mobile Suit pilot portraits + retouches of the previously drawn Mobile Suits itself.
ANOTHER Chainsaw Man Commission!
EXTREMELY happy of what I did here, phew!Original:
Super-Villain Team Up #17 homage commission
Decided to go with traditional pencils on this one, so I only used sketch printout for my basic composition layout and cover design based on the original:It feels like it's been ages since I drew my last commission, and it's so good to be back!

BESTIARY cover to cover
It's been pretty quiet on $5 tier here recently, so here's a nice little surprise for everyone on and above it - Dropbox folder with every drawing done for the project, 50 creatures total (freaks, ghouls and bughuuls!) , fresh out of the oven. And of course here's a little preview for what the finished illustrations are gonna look like in the book!(here's the project's main page, but I'm gonna update you on it when the Bestiary itself is actually out!)
Bestiary VI
Aaaaand, it's done! 50 characters, almost 2 sketchbooks cover to cover. Two days of intense scanning, cleaning, editing and toning ahead! ^___^(Returning to usual commissions broadcasting ASAP, too!)
Bestiary V
Closing in on the end of the project (42 out of 50 characters done, I even had to switch to another sketchbook!)Also, the skeleton could be my favorite thing I've drawn ll year. I just feel him
So, this kinda happened
I don't feel really strongly about this thing one way another (because, as I often have to reiterate - I don't care about piracy, plagiarism, "art theft" and other completely normal digital background things that modern artists are supposed to care), other than maybe a slightly icky feeling that someone betrayed a bit of my trust here? Like, a sort of social contract was definitely broken, but it's not the end of the world, and also I completely understand why piracy websites...
My twitter is dead, I don't want to remarry, I only want WORK
This is not a joke, alas. Twitter is dying, being completely useless for work at this point of time, and "twitter surrogates" like Bluesky or Threads are still at their toddler phase, so I've been struggling with getting new commission work for a while. Commission tiers here been anemic for quite a while, too, but I can't blame anyone for it - most of you already had multiple commissions made for you anyway, my attempts at reaching wider audiences are more or less futile, and yes...
Bestiary III
Continuing!
Knife Flora and Knife Fauna
A bunch of new sketches (while I'm experiencing post-Montenegro mental clarity and creative high) - mostly exploring the smaller inhabitants of our world (as we did for Vol I 4 years ago).Animals, plants, foods, drinks. An approach like this (taking such a huge time frame to develop a book's feel, its je-ne-sais-quoi rather than just churning out page after page after page) is balancing between being thorough and being unreasonable, so why am I doing this? The other day I was reading a Co...
End of the Summer
I'm stressed out as hell while trying to tidy up my work and my life, so here's a little General Maintenance update to sort out some of my responsibilities!1. Zines/Comics Festivals: if you ordered any of my new zines earlier this Summer, right now they are either already shipped to you (and you should expect e-mail with your tracking # today/tomorrow), or will be shipped to you in 2-3 weeks from now. I'm also thinking about reprinting the two recent books (because of course I've...
D&D Triptych
This series of drawings is actually a triptych featuring antagonist characters from a very long-running D&D campaign of my client and his friends, and it's so good to see them all together!
