Hello everyone! I&#39;ve been a bit quiet here, but making HUGE progress. Firstly: GOOD NEWS!! I will start posting chapter 1 pages starting with the intro page right after this post. Chapter 1 // Colouring/finalizing stage!!

Hi everyone! I&#39;m now in the final stage of production! Really happy with how it&#39;s going so far. I was slightly worried about full colour for some reason (even though I already did the prologue lol), but it&#39;s alll good.

Chapter 1 inking - backgrounds...

Hey guys! Mannn the backgrounds are kinda making me want to tear my hair out lolll. I finished inking the characters a few days ago, and now I&#39;m going back through to get the BGs I ignored... a lot of them are too rough so it takes some time to figure things out -_- unfortunately the one off locations I just roughly sketched, which is sooo easy. And then inking over that is absolutely horrendous haha. So close though...

Mann who would have thought that simply going over (tracing w/ modifications) 3D backgrounds would be so EXHAUSTING?! lmaoSoo I&#39;m finding out the hard way these BG heavy pages are time consuming af, also I&#39;ve been pretty low energy the past week or so; but I&#39;m SOO excited! Only 3 more pages. It can be so tiring just braindead laboring away, but when I go back and actually look at the images sequentially and experience them in context, it feels like a huge reward. Definitely helps me ...

Still Inking! But close...

Hey everyone! Have to move my deadline a bit and just enjoy the Easter weekend :) I still have to ink 5 pages, but it&#39;s coming along great. I&#39;m so excited to share this chapter with you guys sooon. I will definitely be posting pages here once get finalized. I noticed that inking a ton every day has gotten me slightly fatigued and I&#39;m starting to slow down because of it, so seems like a good time to just take the long weekend and finish it refreshed next week.

Ink progress // it's tough lolll

Hey guys, just popping in with an update. These pages with multiple characters are really testing me x&#39;&#39;D I FEEL like I&#39;m trying to keep details minimal, and yet it takes FOREVER to finish a page. It&#39;s all the faces, I think. Each face typically takes around 5 minutes or so at least, which adds the f&#39;up... gotta keep motivated 😤 Probably gonna be a bit behind my initial goal deadline, but i&#39;m not gonna go overboard to hit it. Slow and steady 😁

Inking update

Hey everyone, and welcome to all new Patrons!! Your support is super appreciated <3 ! I&#39;m moving along on the inking steadily, over halfway through chapter 1 now :) I&#39;m trying to finish inking by april 16th.I haven&#39;t quite figured out yet where in the process lineless BG elements fit in, so I&#39;ve skipped some backgrounds. Hopefully I will figure out a proper place in the process for this.I&#39;m not 100% sure yet how to tackle full colour BGs since Grimoire Noir I just did everyth...

Chapter 1 // Inking stage!

Just a quick pop-in to let you guys know I&#39;ve started inking and it&#39;s going well :DI need to adjust the level of BG detail a bit since it&#39;s been a while (currently putting in wayy too much detail lol), I&#39;ll probably find proper footing in the next couple of pages.

Chapter 1 opening panel colour test

A quick step before jumping into the inking stage was this - completing the opening page with colours to establish the mood/colourcheme. I&#39;m happy with how it turned out! Having this as the colour reference point will make the process go much smoother. Gonna start inking tomorrow :D

Chapter 1 Layouts complete!

Yay! I hit my first self-imposed deadline slightly ahead of schedule :D It was a whole journey getting back into drawing comics proper like. It&#39;s easy to forget how intensive of an activity it is, but so mentally rewarding! This chapter was 29 pages (technically 29, but 1 page is a single panel so maybe more like 28 but who cares). The first 5-6 pages were pretty rough because of the rust but also because they were just tough pages with a ton of characters. It got so much easier past the hal...

Guys!!! The struggle has been real. My elbow is STILL healing -_- but it&#39;s almost 100%.
