THE GUILT TRIP - FULL LENGTH
🕑 Added 2025-08-28 01:43:05 +0000 UTCBefore embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime road trip, Andy Brewster pays a visit to his overbearing mother, Joyce. That proves to be a big mistake; Andy caves in under pressure to take his mom along for the ride. Early on -- as the miles roll by -- Andy feels nothing but aggravation at her antics. Eventually however, he comes to realize that they have more in common than he first thought and that Joyce's wisdom might be just what he needs.Content expanded.

It was a cute film, though I can see the critics point. Thanks for exposing me to a Streisand movie I was not aware of.

Well, you made it until the last 5 minutes without a "Don't make me cry". And then...

When "The Guilt Trip" was released in 2012, the critics didn't like the film very much. In fact, it has only a 35% score on Rotten Tomatoes. I've always thought it was a cute film, and I enjoyed Barbra Streisand's performance here. Watching it here again with you, Kemi, I see this movie in a different light now. I never cried at the end before, but I know you were thinking about your own sons and the love you have for them. I admit that I teared up right along with you. Thank you for this wonderful reaction and for giving me a new perspective on this quite endearing movie! Onto the next, my dear! ππ©·
