River Crossing (30x30, 200px)
🕑 Added 2022-03-09 16:57:03 +0000 UTCHi folks!
Another random encounter map this week, to help with all the river crossings in the module that don't actually have battle maps, but which seem like good locations for random encounters.
I was hoping to return to posting maps every Saturday or Sunday once I finished moving, but the adjustment period has been much slower than I expected. To add to this, I was meant to upload this map a few days ago (apologies for the delay, by the way), but the internet here is really struggling.
I'm getting used to the change in surroundings though, and I'll be back to having decent internet in a few days, so things should be back on track very shortly! Thank you so much for bearing with me, folks - your support and your patience are appreciated more than you realise. <3
To help with the aforementioned issues with the internet, I've excluded the UVTT files from these uploads - though, as this map features no walls that would limit player vision or any built-in lighting, it's entirely possible the VTT files wouldn't have been used anyway. If I'm mistaken, let me know, and I'll upload the VTT files once the internet situation improves!

My maps are made with assets from Forgotten Adventures and AoA (bolstered with assets of my own making here and there), and they come with grid/gridless, day/night, edited/unedited, and light/lightless variants, plus JPEGs, WebPs with transparent backgrounds, or UVTT (DD2VTT) files for Foundry VTT.

Hi Paul! The Unedited JPEG and WebP zip files both come without any adjustments - that should help a little with the brightness! If not, it may be worth turning up the brightness on your monitor or phone, though - as Barovia gets no direct sunlight, I've tried to capture the dull dreariness of the location, and I've found that with my phone or other screens that adjust the brightness automatically, the maps can appear way too dark. They're usually perfectly fine once I turn up the brightness, though!

I love the map, but even the daytime version is quite dark. If you're using some sort of filter on the source to make everything darker, would it be possible to get an unfiltered version?

Thank you, sir! I'm hoping to tackle a few more soon, so keep your eyes peeled! :D

Thank you. We need more random road and river locations. This is great.
