🕑 Added 2025-07-31 03:47:35 +0000 UTCI'm running a little behind because I moved into my office/studio space FINALLY! Once I get everything set up I will do a mini tour video. We put in hardwood floors and my body is aching from carrying over 1000 manga books from one room to another, back and forth.
I got an email today that the books (which were supposed to come in yesterday) have been delayed and will be delivered August 4th instead. I have several things coming in next week so I'll probably have a post to show off some of that as well.
For this page... I spent way too much time looking at photos of buses.
The original page! Man, I forgot how nice doing interiors in black and white was. Colors didn't matter, it was all about values... oh well. The flow worked a little better in this version because of the connected word balloon from the driver's dialogue. I chose to exclude her inner dialogue, though.

Flat colors! Though I do throw in some gradations in this stage now for backgrounds.

Gradations and highlights!
Textures, patterns, line effects, etc.
Added fonts and dialogue and DONE!

I must admit I have seen something like this at a bus stop. Thankfully with some sort of shorts. Definitely a WTF moment.

I just read a horror book where a woman was haunted by a lady in a hospital gown, so if I'd been that driver I would have kept going for sure, haha.

Yeah there is no good explanation for waiting for the bus in a hospital gown.
