Fortunately, our dungeon orchard in the mountain dungeon has all sorts of fruits, so we have no problems gathering ingredients.
Plus, it’s easier than starting a tea plantation from scratch.
Then again, it is not as if we have never made juice at our farm.
Anyone can make juice just by squeezing fruits.
At our wedding, we served orange juice, the most straightforward juice we could make.
We had other options, like grape juice and apple juice, but we refrained from using them because of their similarities to wine and white wine.
In the end, only orange juice was served.
The recipe for making such otherworldly orange juice is simple: prepare an orange, give it to an orc, and have him crush it.
That’s all.
Orcs are powerful. Even with the peel, they can crush an orange in an instant.
They make fine otherworldy juice makers.
But it’s still sad that there were so many alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine, whiskey, and sake at the reception, yet only orange juice as a soft drink.
That’s why juice-making is urgent business!
And so, we’re proceeding with our plan.
What kind of fruit juice should I pursue other than the usual squeezed juice? That would probably be a blended one.
I’ve often seen blenders on TV where you throw in some fruits, turn it on, and blend it all toge a thick liquid.
These commercials’ catchphrases were always along the lines of, “Homemade juice makes you healthy every day!” I was attracted to it every time I saw then, but I was too hesitant to buy an appliance just to make juice.
It seemed like a lot of work to maintain.
But now I live in a different world where I can do almost anything I want.
Like, say, making juice with a blender!
Some might wonder, “Can you make a blender in a different world that relies on swords and magic?”
The thing is, I have a strong ally in this field.
I commissioned the dwarves to make an otherworldly mixer for me, see.
I’m amazed they could make it with only my poor explanations.
The material used was the good ol’ mana metal.
With the help of Poel and her teammates, I was able to add glass parts, so I could see the contents while the machinblendedds the ingredients.
What a wonderful world we live in!
And so, today’s the day we received the finished product.
I decided to try it out to see how well it worked.

To do so, I went up the mountain dungeon and to the dungeon orchard.
I thought it would be better to do it right where the fruits were growing.
“Oh, hey, Master! Fancy seeing you here.”
I happen to meet Veil as soon as I enter the orchard.
“...Why are you here?”
“What kind of question is that? This is my dungeon. What’s wrong with me being here?”
Ah, right...
Veil owns the mountain dungeon where the dungeon orchard is located.
She has been staying with us for so long, I’d almost forgotten about that.
“I’m surprised you come back here quite often.”
“I’m thinking of remodeling the dungeon again. I don’t want it to be as big as Alexander’s, but I want it to have more levels than Mary’s!”
What do you mean?
“Anyway, Master! What’s that strange thing you have?”
Veil notices the blender I brought.
She’s always so perceptive.
“Oh, I know! You’re trying to make something new and delicious, aren’t you? My keen intuition is telling me so! I’m sure of it!”
“Okay, okay...!”
It’s almost impossible to make a new food item without Veil and Platy finding out about it, so it’s an inevitable path.
“Wanna try making fruit juice together?”
“Ohh! Are you going to use the fruits here?”
“Yeah.”
I put the blender on the wooden table within the orchard.
As this is another world, there is no electric power.
So, if we want to make this blender work, we have to use manpower.
The dwarves had devised a handle for the blender.
When turned, the blades inside turn in tandem with the gears and other parts.
Of course, they are used to slice up the contents of the container, mince them into pieces, and turn them into a pulpy liquid.
It’s almost ironic how this fresh, healthy fruit juice can be made from a device that sounds like a heaven-sent machine for destruction.
But I guess that’s the fun of cooking.
Anyway, let’s give it a try.
“What fruits should we use?”
Let’s start with the most straightforward one: orange.
After all, oranges are the most popular fruit juice.
I’m going to put it in with its peel intact to test the limits of this blender.
Cut the orange into four pieces, put them in, close the lid, and...
Turn the handle!
“Uooooooooooooooooh!”
This is hard work.
But, I can feel the blade inside spinning furiously in tune with my turning.
“Yes! Now the fruit inside is ripped to shreds... or not?”
The blade is just spinning around without slicing the fruit.
“Maybe put some water in it?”
“I see.”
Veil pours water into the blender.
The orange inside the blender starts spinning furiously.
“Oh, it worked!”
“You’ve got my good judgment to thank!”
Perhaps it’s because Veil herself started cooking recently.
She doesn’t even know what we’re making, yet she took the appropriate action based on her gut feeling.
While I was turning the handle as hard as I could, the orange was becoming more and more liquid.
“As expected of mana metal, even the orange peel was sliced into pieces!”
I was worried that it’d be difficult, considering it’s manually powered.
“Blended Juice No. 1 is done.”
I pour the liquid mixture into a cup.
The peel was crushed too, so it has a very dense texture.
“Go ahead, Veil. Drink it.”
“Oh, that was it? It’s easier than I thought...”
I doubt Veil has had orange juice with the peel, but since we’ve made freshly squeezed juice before, it was not that new to her.
She confidently chugs the drink.
“...It’s bitter.”
“Huh?”
I guess that’s what happens when you include the peel.
They’re pretty bitter, after all.
“No, wait, Veil, the real value of the blender is yet to come!”
The blender’s power was proven by the fact that it was safe to keep the peel.
With enough confidence in the blender, we will utilize it to the fullest.
“A blender’s true value lies in its ability to mince anything and everything you put and mix it all up.”
In other words, what a blender can do that orcs can’t is mix different ingredients.
“We’re going to try making otherworldly mixed juice!”

and if he made the orcs crush the oranges, they could've also made smth like banana smoothies then and there, right? i mean, they already have satyr milk and all, and then they could just use the peels as compost...
