Audiobook Narrator Poll
🕑 Added 2023-07-23 08:18:55 +0000 UTCI've been thinking about the audiobook of Casual Heroing a lot since tone is going to be harder than in a normal 3rd POV. Personally, I've been floating the idea of getting a female narrator for Joey, if possible with some Italian ancestry. I don't know, I don't find most male narrators voices apt for the task. However, it's also true that I've listened to maybe half a dozen audiobooks and I'm not representative of what readers/listeners would like. Therefore, I'm here with a poll to gather info.

Christopher Ragland does a pretty good job of multiple accents in the iron Druid series I’m also a big fan of Andrea parsneau I don’t think Travis Baldree likes doing sexual content he dropped one of Daniel schinofen’s series because of it Sag aftra has a good cast of narrators (just googled it didn’t realise it was an American union) And you can’t not mention sound booth theatre though they can go abit over board with sound affect though the background music and narration is always amazing

Honestly I look at the books she has done and the success of each book or series a lot of which are male MC plus I think she is one of the top 5 narrator’s who bring a real passion and feeling to the stories. But I bet she is extremely booked . I also like Travis baldtree but I don’t see him doing well with female voices or accents

I actually do love Andrea myself! I'm just not entirely sure how people would take Joey not being narrated by a man. Otherwise, I'd have already gotten in touch with a publisher to request her

Man I was just about to make the same suggestion about Andrea she is probably the best for male voice and narration of many female characters.
