Glaucon

Yeah, seems about right. I'm assuming this is just Josh trying to subtly convince himself there's not so big a gulf between them. There are tones of this here, like him second-guessing his assessment of twice the length, that it couldn't be possible and must've been an illusion.

Chinookfan72

I think the emotional turmoil is there regardless because he’s always going to wonder if Devin had sex with his wife. Sure the confusion of did I ask him is there, but I think in the grand scheme of things that is a relatively minor compared to josh figuring out what happened between Devin and Kimmy. From a literary perspective I can see your point, but at the same time I don’t think Devin being overtly antagonistic towards Josh would materially change the story. As for the getting Kimmy all to himself, I really don’t think it matters to Devin if Kimmy and Josh talk. I’m sure he is cocky enough to think he can get Kimmy anytime he wants and Josh is powerless to stop it. If Kimmy and Josh have an honest conversation it resolves in either Josh allowing Kimmy to sleep with Devin, Kimmy agreeing to not sleep with Devin (but try as she might she can’t stop her attraction), or Kimmy and Josh split leaving Kimmy all alone for Devin... in any of these situations Devin would still think he a shot. All your points are valid. Just playing devils advocate here as it’s only Tuesday and the next chapter is still a few days away. can’t wait to see where KT takes us, but I do agree with your prior point that from here on out Devin doesn’t need to bring up Josh asking him to do it.

Glaucon

Oh also - the biggest obstacle for Devin in having Kimmy all to himself is open communication between husband and wife (like it pretty much always is lol). Devin needs to isolate them from each other emotionally and play them against each other. Planting this seed in Josh's mind I think makes Josh a little bit reluctant to straight up communicate to Kimmy honestly - it places guilt on Josh, gaslighting him into feeling responsibility for setting the events in motion. Just a thought.

Glaucon

Hypothetically, in a world where Josh never asked for it, I don’t think it’s about Devin worrying about what Josh will do so much as a way for him to toy with Josh, to prove how much power he has in the situation. It seems to me Devin would be saying this to hurt, confuse, and gaslight Josh – trying to cause him the exact emotional turmoil he is currently feeling and make Josh distrust himself. This is essentially a “why are you hitting yourself?” move. Additionally, a possible cruel set up to a “holy shit you’re such a pathetic wimp you actually believed you asked someone to fuck your wife.” From a literary perspective it gives Devin an excuse to speak with Josh about fucking his wife with a subtext of mock-friendly antagonism instead of overt antagonism, at least for now.

Chinookfan72

As usual I think you are spot on. However, I think there is still room for KT to have it end up where he did mention it. We don’t know how drunk he was at the time the conversation may occurred and this could be played off as a situation where alcohol loosens his lips and gets him more in touch with his subconscious. Maybe he’s been suppressing these feelings for so long his conscious doesn’t even recognize he has those feelings any more. Ultimately we won’t know for sure until we get a flash back. My personal preference is inline with yours I’d be more than okay if Devin didn’t need any prompting at all. However, as Devin doesn’t fear any repercussions from Josh, I don’t see why he’d try and spin it as if it was Josh’s idea. For instance if he just came out and told Josh he fucked his wife, what is Josh going to do to Devin?

Glaucon

At the moment, it doesn’t seem like this was an established fantasy of Josh’s at all. He seems to be discovering it turns him on only after the reunion. His thought process is more “dammit, why is this unexpectedly turning me on?” than “dammit, how did Devin know about my fantasy?” As far as personal preferences go, I’d prefer if Devin just went for Kimmy purely because he wanted to and no other reason or excuse was involved. Frankly that seems to make the most sense for the character anyway, and I think the heat/humiliation of this guy being able to easily have Josh's wife if he wants regardless of Josh's feelings fits the theme.

Chinookfan72

I agree, I don’t think Devin spread it. I keep going back to this being a secret affair from Kimmy’s side. So she can’t think Josh is in on it in my opinion or it’s not an affair.. perhaps this is just my bias showing too. The more I think about it I hope Josh actually told someone else at the party what his fantasy was (perhaps one of the girls) and Devin just overheard it and then got Josh supper drunk and tried his luck... I too hope Kimmy has no idea of Josh’s fantasy and doesn’t know about the humiliation. To her she’s just cheating and dealing with those emotions. I’m not sure if it’s necessarily hotter or not for Josh to be in on it. However, he is a much more sympathetic character if he isn’t in on it. If he is in on it the he is basically Ben from Chelsea hates Libby and I hate that guy.

Glaucon

Reflecting on Josh’s concern that Devin was spreading it around to Kimmy or Amy or others that Josh wanted Devin to fuck Kimmy – it seems to me that Kimmy’s, Amy’s, and Karina’s reactions don’t quite match up with what you’d expect if they thought Josh might be in on it. The unhappiness, secrecy, and cover up, as well as Kimmy’s apparent lack of interest in checking in with Josh after he’s returned to the kitchen or in the car, would seem like they for sure think he had not okayed sex between Devin and Kimmy, regardless of what actually happened. Also Kimmy’s inner voice makes no mention of it, even though it should be super relevant to her feelings of guilt. She only blames Josh specifically for going to the party and for drinking. (of course, who knows, just my first impression). Corollary to this, and getting into personal wishes for the story, I hope Devin stops claiming that Josh asked him to have sex with Kimmy. Frankly I hope he never even brought it up to Kimmy the previous night – it would be great to have a story where the husband’s consent really didn’t matter (even if the supposed consent was a lie). Admittedly this is personal preference, but if this is a humiliation story, it seems to me that it would be less humiliating for people to think Josh was in on the extramaritals and happy with it, compared to Kimmy just straight-up betraying Josh (although of course, humiliation is subjective). Oddly, it also has Devin weirdly self-casting himself in the role of Josh’s agent, merely fulfilling Josh’s wishes while enjoying the process. Doesn’t seem to square with the conspicuously high-status Devin that enjoys literally making himself feel big at other’s expense.

Chinookfan72

Excellent! It’s always best when we are kept on our toes... this way every New chapter we get is like w christmas present. Only instead of waiting a year, we only got to wait a week or so, and in between we can speculate on where the story can go. Then the next chapter comes out and we can start all over again!

Chinookfan72

Did some math. Given: Devin is twice as long as josh and as thick as a ladies wrist (2.83 cm radius according to the internet) and Josh is as long as an iPhone (14cm). Assuming Josh is the average girth (internet tells me it’s a radius of 1.86 cm). Then Devin’s volume is more than 4 times that of Josh’s... so unless Josh is also very girthy, his calculation of twice as small is very very wishful thinking towards himself.

KT Morrison

Yeah, but sometimes I really just spelled something wrong or don't remember the meaning right, ha ha! It's a crap shoot!

TF

Thanks, I understand. I'm going to have to pay more attention to your word choice...there are layers and layers of meaning. I love it!

KT Morrison

Ah,_I get it. It's a colorful interpretation on my part. I really do see her as earning them rather than learning. I see her grandma as kind but definitely stern; weaving time was about companionship but also skill-teaching. Learning is accurate, but I liked earning because it wasn't so much fun. She loved her grandma but there was definitely pressure to do the weaving right and she would characterize her experience as earning because there was a certain hardship at work: fear of failure. Learning is something regular kids do, earning is something hard-workers do. And don't let my defense of my word dissuade anyone from pointing these things out, ha ha! I really like to get challenged and if I made a mistake it helps me, and I also love fleshing out the reasons I did something. Like here: that was a quick decision I made to use that word, a conscious one, almost subconscious, and the act of writing out why helped me forge a clearer picture of Kimmy, and made me put it in words. That's really helpful to me!

TF

Sorry I wasn''t precise..." Kimmy’d earned some mad weaving skills" is the phrase...Just thought it should be Kimmy Iearned some mad weaving skills....but trivial in any case.

Glaucon

Took me a moment to work out the acronym for Measured Next to Her Ex! lol

KT Morrison

I agree, ha ha. I did the math in the book MN2HX and it was surprising. Volume/displacement is shocking when there's a change in circumference. In the book the calculation was five times greater between the two otherwise normal men!

Glaucon

Over-estimating his volume/under-estimating Devin's volume. If my degree in dick-math is worth the imaginary paper it's printed on, he'd be lucky to be one-third Devin's size in volume terms (which are exponential when there are differences in both height and width of an object), assuming the other comparisons made in these two chapters are even close to accurate.

KT Morrison

Wishful which way, ha ha? Is he over- or under-estimating.

Glaucon

Reads okay to me but I'm also Canadian sooooo?

Glaucon

My math-brain is catching on Josh's volume calculation, but I'm just going to assume that's wishful thinking on Josh's part.

KT Morrison

The 'mad weaving skills' is the way I intended, I think. She's not the weaver her grandmother was, but she's got some mad weaving skills. Too British-Canadian, maybe? Y'all don't say mad skills in the U.S., ha ha?

KT Morrison

Post back if you see a Mercedes Roadster lurking near Josh and Kimmy's apartment. It shouldn't be there and Josh would appreciate the heads up!

KT Morrison

Yup—I just mean nothing is ever absolute. Maybe yes, maybe no. Next chapter (currently editing) has something (maybe not super-obvious) that may challenge what you think about this last chapter. Or maybe not!

KT Morrison

Thank, DnD!

KT Morrison

Thank you!

Tracey52

I don’t know how you keep doing it but it’s another original great story.

DavidnDaria

Great chapter KT. We especially liked the clear conflict in the bathroom, as well as the way you expressed the guilt she felt. You know the funny thing? In this mode, we're literally not noticing things like Devon or Devin. It's just flowing. So, it looks like some soul searching and baring is around the corner.

JamesIsAsleep

Not saying I prefer anything, I just like when KT teases. Its whatever.

Chinookfan72

So KT’s retort of James’ suggestion of full on sex between Kimmy and Devin (assuming that is what the resort was in reference too) has me thinking and speculating what could/ what I would like to have happened. I really want to believe what Devin told Josh in the tent is mostly true as far as Kimmy is concerned, I also want to believe Josh did smell Kimmy on Devin. Devin is a manipulative asshole and a braggart, but what he brags about seems to be true (expensive house etc.). So here is how I currently think and want to have happened. This is most likely wrong, and if you disagree let me know, with this format half the fun is discussing the story with other fans and speculating on where it might go and where they want it to go. Anywho, Devin tells Josh that Kimmy is ready for round 3, leading me to believe there are 2 separate encounters between Kimmy and Devin that night. My theory is after Kimmy and Devin’s kiss turns the anger into sexual attraction, they sneak off somewhere. Do some hand and mouth stuff, finish and go back to the party. Neither are all that satisfied, but they can’t be gone long or the others could get curious. Later once more folks have gone to bed bed Devin corner’s Kimmy. She’s pissed and tells him to back off and he persists, she continues to resist until he kisses her again. Inside she is still horny as hell so she says fuck it and let’s Devin drag her off to the bathroom. I say he gets it in balls deep but Kimmy is too loud and her friends come check on her. Two friend open the bathroom door and catch them banging.. The friends get Kimmy out of the bathroom, and before all hell breaks loose Devin goes outside and into the tent to talk to Josh. It’s about 5 am now and I believe it’s like 7 am when Josh goes inside. So Devin doesn’t go directly back into the cabin instead he stays away in hopes Kimmy and her friends have calmed down. He eventually walks inside and is confronted by one of the friends while the other consoles Kimmy. A few moments later, Josh walks in. So I’m think KT’s retort is just saying there is a potential for a challenge depending on what “full sex means”. For instance does the sex need to end in climax for it to count as “full sex” if it does then my scenario wouldn’t be considered full sex and therefore James’ suggestion of full sex could be challenged.

Glaucon

Lol I’m actually in Ajax today

Chinookfan72

Yeah KT’s retort has me thinking full on sex to completion didn’t happen, but I’m still leaning toward something more than just campfire sexy time games... If this was a traditional KT hot wife story where there is an incident and then the husband and wife have a conversation and the husband gets on board then I could see something minor like campfire games being what actually happened. However, the story we were pitched is an affair that Kimmy thinks is secret, thus she can’t tell Josh what actually happened. If it’s minor sexy time games, like what we got in “a week on the big snake”, then I find it hard to believe a wife who truly loves her husband wouldn’t tell him what happened especially when there are 2 witnesses. Therefore, it’s got to be something big enough that she can’t tell him, but maybe not full on sex.

Chinookfan72

Holly crap, this chapter has been up for 2 hours and already 14 comments... then I read it and understand why... this chapter was awesome, love getting the FC POV, can’t wait for the next chapter, although unlike Jamesisasleep I’d rather have gotten the fornication. I know I’m in the minority there, but I like patience and want the details of what went down. I hope when we do get the full story it’s in a Kimmy flash back while she is pleasuring herself to it.

JamesIsAsleep

BTW, my interpretation of KT's retort (which could go different ways) is if it's true that full-on sex didnt happen and it was like campfire sexy time games that Kimmy feels guilty about and she almost risked dangerous sex (please tell me Kimmy has a reaction to the pill so she cant use it, LOL jk whatever works), I will be elated. Have I mentioned I love KT's teasing around the edges of actual fornication in her stories? I have? A thousand times? Ok, just checking.

TF

Oh I get it.. mat = maternity...sigh

TF

Wow! This is going to be interesting...seems like both J & K have some previously hidden desires/kinks working their way to the surface. Picked up a couple of typos...in K's dialogue..."earned some weaving skills"...in J's..."before her mat leave she". Now to be patient for another week...difficul.

JamesIsAsleep

Devin's philosophies, lol.

Glaucon

Next chapter's Devin perspective reveals him as a deeply romantic Mr.Darcy type that has pined for Kimmy from afar for a decade, got it.

JamesIsAsleep

Good, serves me right for saying something definitive because we still dont know anything.

KT Morrison

Also: next chapter may challenge something you stated here . . .

KT Morrison

Thank you!

KT Morrison

woops—thank you, ha ha!

Glaucon

I'm wondering if, now that we've got all the relationships and dynamics well established, I would be able to hold off until a big chunk is done.... I don't like my odds lol.

JamesIsAsleep

Also just want to voice support for KT in getting the last bit of Separate Schools 3 done. However and whenever, KT! I will be ready!

Glaucon

We’ve got a Devon instead of Devin (although that’s an even better spelling imo).

JamesIsAsleep

Oh this got cranked up quite a bit! I'm not sure if it's my preference, but I think that always happens whenever we get into the FC's head. I soak in every nook and cranny of their words, and this chapter was no exception. I was with Glauc on the possibility that full blown sex might not have happened at the Reunion. Welp. Lol! And god damn do I love that Kimmy couldn't stop herself from a jill session despite the turmoil she displays here. And I really loved reading the details of that inner turmoil, I feel like the backdrop is being finalized now for who everyone is and what they think of each other, and it's really helping me get into it. And mixed emotions are a KT specialty! The question still remains (I think) what Devin might have said to Kimmy to get her riled up enough to try to punch him. still wondering what her side of the what KT mentioned as Devin, "pitting the husband and wife against each other." What did Devin say to Kimmy that would make Kimmy question (or whatever) her husband? I have my speculation but I dont think it's based on anything written thus far.

KT Morrison

Thank you, Glaucon, and also for being considerate. The Patreon is going well, I think, and I'm loving developing this story this way. So far so good, ha ha!

Glaucon

Oh shiiiiiiiiit this was good. More thoughts later, just wanted to comment how on fire you are KT. Also, once again I hope if things are hectic you feel fine to take your time getting these posts in. I wouldn't want to think they were adding extra pressure.
