The Post for the Condolences

So, everything I said was going on mid-December ended up finalizing in the worst ways. My dog didn't make it and my father died over Christmas. Post awkward condolences below if you wish! (the recipient is awkward, not the deliverer!)
I sure am sorry to drop a heavy-duty load of bad personal information on you, ha ha, but you people here on the Patreon are a friendly bunch that make me feel good. I might as well let you know what's going on.
Now, in brighter news, that means my plate is clear and I'm looking to make a comeback. Issues with my Pop's health had been weighing me down all year—Covid restrictions messed with his health and well-being for the last two. I'm still going through the grief thing, but a story like Summer Swap might cheer me up. It's a little angsty but overall a fun and playful vibe that'll get me excited about writing again!

Like the others you have my condolences and admiration for getting back online as you have as well as respect for informing and including us at your time of grief. The emotional and physical toll the COVID-19 pandemic and associated lockdowns has had on us all but especially the vulnerable has been largely underestimated and poorly recognised to this point. On a brighter point, I’m Loving this story and also recently found you published “Late night games.” Don’t remember you letting us know you did that, but I’m glad i found it. I hope 2022 is a better year for us all. Your reader for life.

KT, Losing someone, really the only one except for maybe your mom, who knows you from the time you came into this world is rough. I’ve had this loss too. I hope you can get to a place where you are able to feel and appreciate the good things you shared with your dad more than the loss. Thoughts are with you.

I'm so sorry, KT. I'm going through a similar situation right now with my dog and my dad. I am fortunate that Dad is improving and the dog, while she has cancer, is going to be around a bit longer.

KT, so sorry to hear about your losses. I guess these have been times that remind us to just put one foot in front of the other other. I imagine most of the gang here figured something along those lines was going on with you and hope you can work through these events.
