This is true, and highlights how difficult it can be to thread the needle of monetary gain vs finishing a series for authors like KT. I've personally dropped multiple authors who I feel I can no longer trust because I have thrown money away on series that were never finished multiple times. Basically they had a popular series that made them a lot of money, and their ideas for other series weren't nearly so popular, and they started chasing the goal of another cash cow series, with literally 5 or 6 series starters in a row being dumped when they weren't popular enough to chase the next attempt, hoping that might be the one. After you put $100 or more worth of faith into someone, at some point you just have to cut your losses and give up. I'm NOT saying that is KT. FAR from it. She's amazing and while there are things I would like to see finished, she has completed plenty of other projects. It's more to highlight the risk and peril in being a self published author. It's no easy feat, and we're lucky to have KT and her amazing stories.

In your dreams. I’d love it too, but I don’t think there is the financial return for kt. Maybe she will enlighten us at some point as to why there are so many simultaneous stories running with many never finished. My guess is a combination of kt’s creative juices wanting to explore new story lines and putting current ones on the back burner and the reality of diminishing returns the more books in a series. Finally, while I find it hard to believe, not all or her series’s are popular. Go figure.

I was wondering the same thing. I really like the characters, but wondered if expanding on their universe would add to or detract from what we've read. I could easily have envisioned KT taking this theme and making it into a multi-book adventure, with all the ups and downs we typically see from her. Part of me likes the idea of seeing more adventures of Adrian, Willow and Dragan, but part of me also isn't really sure i'd want to see how that might turn out. I like how sweet and airy this ended up being. A second dive with additional drama may taint that experience. So..... maybe? One thing i can say for sure, if we visit these characters again, i definitely want it to be after we've wrapped up some of the other ongoing sagas. Not just Summer Swap and DITW, but things like Keely, Separate Schools etc. as well (I want a book with a Keely and Max wedding in it! Please??)

Are we going to read more of Willow?

Well, selfishly, i tend to like this style more than something like DITW, although, DITW is amazing because of the rollercoaster ride and depth of feeling you get from all the interactions. And you're right, if you do the same thing all the time, it would get somewhat boring. You do a great job of keeping us on our toes. We might have an idea of what's coming, but it's never quite what we think it is. To your point, it does make sense to write to the audience given what this was intended to be, but it's not as if you never do this. It's easy to get lost in things like DITW, Maggie, Reza, Cherry Blossoms etc., and forget that you also do lighter stuff like One of the Gang, Malta and Sadie. You're very talented at both!

It was the tenth book in a series by fellow hotwife authors—I didn't want some of their fans reading the whole series, getting to the last book and then walking away with their feelings hurt and a bad feeling in the pit of their stomach! Plus: if I always do that, you get ready for it and watch for any 'tells'. Like that M. Night Shyamalan; you're not enjoying the show you're looking for the card hidden in his sleeve, ha ha.

That one had me chortling a bit too. "Saddam in a foxhole". The things you come up with, KT! I really like how this went. It's a great juxtaposition against something like DITW.

“Saddam in the foxhole.” Classic

Hilarious, KT. You have channelled the dirty version of Burns & Allen.
