Bill F Protagoras

To be honest, it isn't really Josh that worries me, could be Ms Chang is wound up tighter than we think. Her constant pursuit of sexual overdrive is becoming a compulsion... and not just like touching wood for luck, or the thing about cracks and breaking parents' backs.

Mike Monroe

This would be unacceptable!!! But it is so far up in the air ..who knows!!! Josh should cut and run ..be done with both with a parting shot of sorts.... Revenge served cold!!

CSH

Ain’t enough in the world to make him well again.

CSH

A few points: First, you jest but “I killed someone in the throes of passion” is actually a mitigating circumstance. Would get you many years in prison instead of life, or death. So it is kind of an excuse - I wasn’t in my right mind. Second, Devlin IS working hard. It’s Josh who’s just sitting and watching. At least he could lend a brother a helping hand. Ask a guy to fuck your wife for you then you won’t even help. Lazy fucker.

CSH

Reclamation handjob is more like it. lol.

Mike Monroe

Where can see a man who has respect for himself who has expectations that when wedding vows are taken that his wife wouldn't go behind his back break sacred vows with they promise to keep themselves to each other only. Unless this is agreed upon by both husband and wife and they jointly have a understanding of what is allowed and what isn't. In this case Kimmys actions totally went against this . Although Josh is in this situation now ...there is no evidence that he cosigned her actions and especially not with Devlin.. definitely!!! Be we are where we are... unfortunately for Josh!

Bill F Protagoras

Not a criticism... it's just that you usually hit it in the last two or three lines... consistency IS the hobgoblin of little minds!

Bill F Protagoras

I was gonna say that Josh at least had the justification of his mental health day... but didn't want to single out Kimmy...

KT Morrison

Awesome, ha ha

KT Morrison

He may need it

KT Morrison

Why aren't they at work? ha ha— Protestants everywhere are pulling their hair out

KT Morrison

Good catch! That should have said Mid workday. I have the date written in big letters beside the MS in the software's Notes section. But I didn't pick that up when I edited it (that chapter is finalized, though these recent ones are still just revised drafts)

KT Morrison

Bugs Bunny cartoons taught children well

KT Morrison

Josh has a cynical wit, ha ha

KT Morrison

ice cold, good sir!

Andrew Mellein

Your right! It’s up to KT.

Andrew Mellein

I want to know if there will be reclamation sex with Kimmy after this show or if Josh in finding the truth out will angrily confront Kimmy and storm out! That’s what I’m kinda interested in! Depends on how bad this gets!

Bill F Protagoras

On the optimistic side Devlin is no ingenious prince of darkness!

Bill F Protagoras

See your logic, but doubt the conclusion...

Bill F Protagoras

Dya think they'll have any wellness protocol left over for Josh?

Bill F Protagoras

I can't see any decent man telling his wife what they can or can't do as they are not slaves or chattel or sweet compliance... that's the domain of Devlin's stony crew who see the deadly sins as cardinal virtues... That's where Kimmy lives with impunity just as long as she assumes all her work as women's work and all her actions as a woman's lot. Though she can occasionally be feisty. Josh chastises himself because he did what was right whereas things went wrong as a result of his wife's choices alone, not his... Kimmy on her part, is one of those unfunny jokes made flesh... how can you tell when that slutty Stone lawyer is lying... her mouth is open. Who brought ruination on a happy marriage? Helpless shrug! But why? A bloody good question... One explanation that someone unkindly volunteered was the inferior size of Josh Water's manhood was the origin of all the couple's problems. If it is Josh's fault, it's because he ceded everything his nemesis wanted from him on a platter garnished with humiliation... while his so called wife looked on with a pitiful expression accompanied by her tall dark handsome 'lover' uncharacteristically wearing an unprepossessing T- shirt with the words " You asked for it" in bold lettering displayed across his muscular pecs... when he turns around you will be able to see "I got it!" across the back...

L_S87

Me as well! The next 2 or 3 chapters will be pivotal, not just in how crazy and indulgent Kimmy gets to scratch her itch for Devlin, but just how far Devlin goes to ensure Josh doesn't walk away from this intact. His clear dissatisfaction with Josh relaxing into this and being "okay" with it spells disaster.

Bill F Protagoras

Also... But your honour I only stabbed him in the chest 8 times with the potato peeler because I was in the throes of passion because I was literally sick to death of telling him to put the toilet lid down an' 'im not takin' a blind bit of notice...

Bill F Protagoras

What if I want to despise them because they ARE in the throes of their passion? Why aren't they at work? Lazy fuckin hedonists!

Bill F Protagoras

Now I'm going to sulk... yes, mum even though if the wind changes my face will be stuck like that...

Bill F Protagoras

I unintentionally told a lie--- she indicated with a shake of the head that Devlin did not seduce her... which was too much honesty... and at the same time a seeming act of cruelty misrepresented as an act of confession.

CSH

Great scene. It’s only getting hotter KT as it should. Building up like the act itself. True understanding coming to Josh through his own self confession. Josh has his own penitence to pay. Maybe Devlin can get her talking during the act. That would lacerate Josh’s heart. As he confessed though, he would eat it up. I would caution those who despise him here to accept that both he and Kimmy are in the throws of their passion. The more calculating Josh will likely return later, after Kimmy helps him exorcise, if temporarily, his own demon.

Tracey52

However, Josh admits to himself that he wanted this. I don’t think you’ll get the ending you want.

Bill F Protagoras

The only truly honest reply she gave Josh was that Devlin didn't seduce her... more coupe de grace than saving grace... everything else one of the lovers let slip accidently or on purpose... Though things are going much as I expected you still managed to make me furious at both Kimmy and Josh. I mean, of course, you convinced me.

Bill F Protagoras

I always thought Josh set up this bit of fuck-pad theatre to see if Kimmy would reveal a flicker of regret or remorse... or anything that didn't issue from her deceitful Devlin defiled lips.

Bill F Protagoras

BTW KT in Orpheus it was mid week, in a later episode becoming Monday.

Bill F Protagoras

So my new status quo should be... Kimmy she bad bully craves big dick, Josh he her dupe and snivelling ass wipe! Devlin father of Kimmy's bastard and she has secretly known as she safely did a test after seven weeks.

Bill F Protagoras

I suppose it's hardly the first time Josh has been his own worst enemy and at the same time bought so deeply into one of the worst aspects of his wife's falsehood... self-delusion... However, he has lost his ballast of skepticism and rational doubt. Furthermore, his miracle cure is beginning to look more like snake oil.

Andrew Mellein

Me too!

Andrew Mellein

Totally agree 👍

Bill F Protagoras

Nice use of "transmogrification".

Bill F Protagoras

Well written as ever, though a bit more depressing than I had bargained for... but I am convinced KT will achieve what she has set out to do.

Bill F Protagoras

The instalment ends with an untypical lack of tease which bodes ill for what is to come next... conceivably misfortune in spades.

Bill F Protagoras

After this instalment I'm not so sure I understand Josh as well as I thought I did... still I suppose we all have moments of inconsistency, or maybe he has always had a secret calling to the cloth... and perhaps Kimmy was the cross he chose to crucify himself on.

Bill F Protagoras

As most of this is from Josh's perspective, "The kiss of a saint." sounds off key... but it does fit in with other parts of the description. So I suppose he is the exemplar of overweening pride... and we all know what pride comes before... Also Josh is where he should be, at his weakest, most namby pamby and most needy. And Kimmy looks to have recovered pretty sharpish from her fear of Josh abandoning her, and her fixes of Devlin dick seem fit to flood the market

Glaucon

Really powerfully written, great chapter!

Kat

KT, I’m dying for more. One chapter isn’t enough! I want to see what happens in the aftermath between Josh and Kimmy.

Bill F Protagoras

Kimmy now has Josh lying to himself... at bottom he still loves her river deep mountain high with full Spector sound, and Ike abusing Tina! In other words, not in an ideal fashion

L_S87

I think, if everything was narrowly focused on Kimmy's immediately known sins and this current scenario, Josh's love and somewhat submissive nature would win out. He'd find acceptance in her display of truth, harsh as it may be given the late revelation of her almost all consuming selfishness. It wouldn't be easy, but if Kimmy were to have the fortitude to get up in the aftermath of being fucked to multiple orgasms, take Josh's hand and give Devlin the bird while walking out... I think that would sooth Josh's angst just enough that he'd live with it. Because it would be Kimmy showing that she put herself and her physical needs first, but would never forget Josh and would always take care of his emotional needs, even if they were sometimes secondary to her own. It would put Devlin in his place, affirming Josh's as more. But that only lives in a vacuum. A perfect place where everything goes right, Devlin isn't a sabotaging asshole, Amy doesn't whisper poison in their ears and Kimmy hasn't committed unspeakable sins that Josh has not even come close to glimpsing due to Kimmy's cloak and dagger escapades. All those things existing makes any sort of HEA improbable at the least, impossible at the worst. Or at least that's how I see it. Time will tell. Or more precisely, KT will!

Bill F Protagoras

"Her little pussy was made for my cock.” So Devlin is into 'amor fati' as well as sadism.

Bill F Protagoras

"That calculated derision she’d bathed him in when she’d planned an affair with the worst person in the world."

Bill F Protagoras

"At that thought some kind of inner trap door dropped opened and his guts and heart and assorted viscera fell out his proverbial asshole. The reality of this horror hit him at last. Kimmy was an organized betrayer. A pragmatic one." Did Josh do a lot of jigsaw puzzles as a lad because he's doing a good job now?

Bill F Protagoras

"Fuck. Was this why Kimmy went back on the pill?"

Bill F Protagoras

Not sure if I understand "at the corners of 'his' mouth or 'her' mouth? I know the smile is enigmatic but whose is it?

Bill F Protagoras

"The three were intertwined in this moment, drawn inexorably tighter like a wet knot." Trapped like a bitch by a dog's knot... fetch a slopping bucket of water.

Andrew Mellein

I hope Josh is not O.K. with it being all about her! I think KT is setting the series up for a HEA but I hope it doesn't end that way because Kimmy did too many terrible things to their relationship! In other KT books there were mistakes (Learning Lessons, Cherry Blossoms, Happy Ending) but forgiveness and the couples always communicated with each other. Kimmy lied and backstabbed Josh from book 1. I want Kimmy and Devlin to pay for their cheating. Like Josh thinks "the lies are yet unpunished! "I still think he has an ace up his sleeve and it's going to cost Devlin! Great Chapter KT!

Bill F Protagoras

Greed... "Kimmy loves too much anything.” Not too much honesty it appears.

Bill F Protagoras

Josh lies by omission..." the lies were yet unpunished," but does every lie warrant punishment?

Bill F Protagoras

Auto da Fe... all the books burning in Josh's purifying bonfire.

Bill F Protagoras

Nothing could be wore (worse, more?) than what he watched error

Andrew Mellein

I totally agree! This series does not deserve a happy ending. Because Kimmy did it behind Josh's back and it was straight up adultery! Those other KT husband/boyfriend characters were willing participants with their wives. Those were more hot-wife adventures. Josh had no say in the matter and Kimmy did with the man he couldn't stand and hated and then lied to him for eleven books! I want Kimmy and Devlin to pay!

L_S87

Great roller-coaster of a chapter, KT! Josh's emotional ups and downs are rather extreme, the situation he's placed himself in and the spectacle he's now forced to endure brutalizing his psyche (as if it wasn't damaged enough as is). I like that he's taken ownership here that this was Kimmy's sin, her fault, but he let it happen. I think he's shouldering blame that isn't his, but his acceptance that his inaction was a defacto choice and action of it's own, giving Kimmy license to be as awful as she wanted with little consequence. It's funny how he prods Kimmy for a reaction, then feels remorse for being mean-spirited when his question was doing little more than delving for the truth, and Kimmy's reaction made him feel bad because her truth was awful. She knew it was, but she didn't hide it. Which is a point for her, but I'm not sure how much it will matter given Josh's revelation at the end of the chapter. Josh got into a happy place, oddly enough. He received enough truth to form the conclusion Kimmy was doing this for him, because she loved him SO much, just as Devlin admitted, and somehow he parlayed that into grudging acceptance. And Devlin couldn't have that. Nope, the asshole bully must do asshole bully things, which means winning at all cost. And then Josh finally glimpses the truth. The real truth. Kimmy loves herself more than loves him. Its always been about her, for her. That doesn't mean she doesn't love Josh, but it does mean she's not in this room for him. No, she's here because she wants to revel in humiliating Josh. Because she's *always* wanted to put Josh in this position, in his place, to emotionally wreck him... all while doing it with his permission. And best of all, she gets forgiveness for this act of "penitence" that's supposedly for Josh. But it's not. She agreed because she's selfish. Kimmy agreed because this lets her have HER absolution, not Josh's. It lets her have HER greatest desire, not Josh's. It lets her have Devlin again, to sate HER lust for better sex while getting off better than any time in her entire life because Josh is forced to endure all of her nasty awfulness. It's always been about HER. And I'm thinking Josh might have just figured that out. The question is, is he okay with that? In a vacuum, maybe. But while carrying what is likely Devlin's baby and having Hyun on the side.... maybe...not? Show us the way, KT!

Mike Monroe

As we speed to the finale of DITW. ..Josh has been putting it all together...We learn that he wasn't as obvious as it seemed ...He was trying to avoid the truth being said out loud...Kimmy was not seduced as we all know. She has always been a willing participant in this humiliation and forced cuckolding behind Josh's back. I want scorched earth from Josh at some level! I don't want a Max, Geoff or Pete ending!!! Kimmy and Devlin deserved more payback than that. This is just my feeling I usually like HEA. HEA are my preference but these 2 deserve something. Josh can't just let this sit as is! KT as usual love your masterful story telling...Like Doritos you always want more!
