A large mannequin stood atop a pedestal and towered over Chad. The curves of a synthetic fit woman were covered by tight shiny satin lingerie. It wasn’t something strange, in theory. Chad had walked through department stores many times in the past, breezing past the women’s section on his way to look at clothes for men. Chad turned and saw two bored-looking Nexifem security guards in uniform standing at the edge of the women’s clothing section. He’d had to show them a note from Ms. Belmont before they agreed to accompany him to the store. Chad ignored the smirks, which had faded to boredom at what was just another banal task for the two employees. Neither of the guards seemed interested in Chad, weirdly acting as though his size was normal.
He stepped into the aisle and paced down between racks of brassieres. A large advertisement for a venerable women’s underwear brand covered the wall at the far end of the aisle, showing the picture of a curvaceous brunette with a smouldering expression in lacy high-waisted panties. Chad tried not to look at the enormous image, the woman’s crotch seeming to loom over the space he was in. It felt as though she was watching him shop, a tiny man looking through items made for grown women.
Chad stopped in front of a wall of panties, gazing at the surprising array of sized, styles, and colours. He pulled out his phone, reading over directions from Ms. Belmont. Did the store hire you or something?”
Chad shook his head, trying to explain. “No, I was sent here to pick up some panties and nylons for someone else.” He wanted to avoid giving away the humiliating nature of his task, but it was becoming less likely that would be possible.

“No, not my girlfriend,” he said. “Actually, I’m here with some other people from my work.”

Chad hesitated and then pulled a piece of paper from his pocket, on which he’d written several notes from Ms. Belmont about what kind and size of panty and nylon she wanted. “My boss told me to get this,” Chad said. “My name is Chad.”
“Ohhh, it’s for your boss is it?” the woman said. “That is interesting Chad. You’re some sort of admin assistant?”
Chad nodded and held the note out for Charlotte. She took it and inspected what he’d written down. “Oh my, it looks like your boss must have access to some serious amounts of Voluptupram! Look at these measurements.”

He’d tried to wash his face and hair in the men’s room at Nexifem, but he knew it was impossible to completely hide what had happened to him earlier that morning.
“Yes, I think I am starting to understand,” Charlotte said. “Gawd, the world has really changed.”

“No,” Charlotte said.
“I mean, it’s just hard to deal with sometimes. I understand if you’re confused,” Chad tried to explain.
“Oh I’m not confused at all,” Charlotte said. “I’m sure you’ll get used to things in time. I’d love to hear about how you ended up with this job. I’m certain weren’t always this small.”
Chad shook his head.
Charlotte smiled and lifted her eyes from Chad. She pointed over the top of the display rack to another aisle. “We’ll need to go over there to find the newer lingerie for Voluptupram users,” she explained. “It won’t be cheap, but there are a bunch of new brands that cater specifically to women who have decided to push the envelope of what is a normal female height. This will be fun!”
“Oh, that makes sense,” Chad said. In a sense, it felt like he was still inside the corporate workings of Nexifem. A careful look around reminded Chad that most of the clothing brands around him were produced by his employer. Ms. Belmont had sent him out to shop for clothing that Nexifem had designed, particularly the new brands meant to supplement their Voluptupram program.
Chad followed behind Charlotte, trying not to stare at her full peach-like ass cheeks, which filled out her tight white jeans perfectly. Charlotte led Chad over several aisles into a different section of the women’s underwear selections. “This is real,” Chad said. “My boss is bigger than most of those models.”
Charlotte looked down at the paper in her hand that Chad had given her. “Wow,” she said. “This will make for some very interesting discussions in my college classes. I didn’t realize some of these images were based on actual photographs.”
Chad nodded, unsure what to say. “Well, I don’t know specifically, but I can tell you it is very possible,” he offered.
“Well, we should look over there then,” Charlotte remarked. “Your boss wants a sort of black high-waisted thong panty and sheer black nylons to match.”
Chad followed as Charlotte looked over a display of underwear. The lingerie before him was shocking in size compared to Chad’s small stature. Individual panties, each with waistbands wider than his shoulders, confronted him. But the garments were not tailored poorly. On the contrary, the quality of the larger lingerie items in what appeared to be a new aisle were top of the line. Chad nodded. “Of course I am,” he said. “People will think I’m a little perv or something, and look how…how big all these items are compared to me.”

“I’m not scared,” Chad protested. “I’m just embarrassed.”
“Whatever,” Charlotte said, waving her hand in dismissal. “Oh look, these might fit your boss.”

Chad shook his head. “No, she’s helping me,” he said. “But I will hurry up.”
The guard nodded, looking mildly bored. “You have a few more minutes here,” she said.
Charlotte looked down at Chad as his security guard walked away. Her eye-brows raised and she shoved the first high waisted thong into his hands, before turning to the nylons. “Well, she was rude. She didn’t even say hello to me,” Charlotte whispered.
“Sorry,” Chad said. “I don’t know where they recruit those guard women.”

Chad shrugged. It was just another job to the guard women. “I’m a corporate asset, not someone they want to care for,” he said.

“I’m not supposed to talk about it,” Chad said. “I wish I could explain. But she was right about one thing. I have to get back to the office or my boss will be angry, and that could be really bad for me.”

“That’s just wonderful,” the cashier said, slipping the bra, panty, and nylons into a stylish paper bag with a fabric handle. She stepped around the counter to hand it to Chad. The cashier gasped audibly as she stood in front of Chad in her heels.
Chad’s head came up only slightly higher than the cashier’s waist. She wasn’t a particularly tall woman, yet she still towered over him in her skirt and light pink blouse.
“This is insane,” the cashier said. “I’ve seen this kind of thing on TV, but I thought it was fake.”
“I know!” Charlotte exclaimed. “I thought the same thing when I saw him.”
Chad tilted his head back, trying to make eye contact with the cashier, who wasn’t bothering to bend down to accommodate him. The two women were now more talking to each other, as if Chad were some child or pet. Chad felt frustration at how he was no longer seen in the same way, how women’s gazes assessed and placed him into a specific category. He stood holding the bag of lingerie as Charlotte and the cashier chatted and speculated about his size.
A guard in a Nexifem security uniform stepped beside Chad. “Are you ready to get back to the office?” She asked.
“Uh, yes,” Chad nodded. “But we have to pick up coffee for the fourth floor first.”
“Of course,” the guard nodded. The bored look on her face had only slightly softened. Her peer remained waiting near the doors of the store.
“Aww, he has to go?” Charlotte said.
“I’m afraid so,” the guard said.
“Bye bye Charlotte. It was nice to meet you,” Chad said.
“Bye little man!” Charlotte said.
“Bye bye,” the cashier said. Both women had their phones out and were either recording or photographing the moment as Chad turned and left the store, his two guards on either side.
It was only later when Chad discovered both Charlotte and the cashier had found him on social media and added him to their contacts.

Chad ran into Kelly’s arms the minute she entered his apartment. His clingy behaviour was more visceral and genuine than it had been in the past. Chad nodded again.

Chad tried to shake his head, but also felt the urge to please his girlfriend.
“N…no, I…I’m scared. I don’t want to shrink again. I wanted you to protect me,” Chad said, pins and needles sweeping over his body. Kelly’s hips seemed to widen and her head seemed to rise higher. Her expression was one of elation and empathy.

Kelly bit her lip and looked down at Chad, her eye-lids lowered. “Good boy,” Kelly cooed. “Don’t worry. I won’t tell anyone, except maybe a couple of very close friends. But they are women I trust, women who will understand.”
Chad knew he had little say in Kelly’s decision. He could only be thankful for the promise she’d made. “Thank you,” he said.
“Of course, sweetheart,” Kelly said. “Now, why don’t you get down onto your feet so we can see how small you are?”
Chad pulled on leg over Kelly’s thigh and dropped down to the floor between his girlfriend’s parted legs. Kelly sat up and grinned. Chad’s shoulders were barely higher than the top of her knees as she sat on his sofa. He looked positively tiny, like a sort of animated doll sized man.

The next day Chad found himself standing before a woman wearing the robes of an official magistrate or judge. He wasn’t sure. He didn’t know much about how the legal system worked, and there had been changes while he’d been in the Adtenuo Tank. The woman had grey in the thick mass of hair she’d pinned up in a bun. Chad guessed the magistrate was in her late forties or early fifties. Kelly stood next to Chad in the empty room. Her daughter stood further back in the room, watching as a witness.
“Young man, are you aware of what the new vulni-chic guardian law entails?” The magistrate asked. She looked down from her elevated desk over a pair of gold-rimmed spectacles.
Chad hesitated. “Um, I think so,” he said. “Kelly will become my guardian. Like, my protector and partner.”
The magistrate cleared her throat and raised her eyebrows. “Well, yes,” she said. “But that’s only part of it. This law was passed to help move forward some of the social changes occurring in our nation, to accelerate the shift to a female-led society. It seems to be for the best, in many cases I have seen. But you should be aware of what it means. It does appear that you are especially…um…eager, to embrace the new emerging order.”
Chad felt Kelly’s hand rest on his shoulder as she stood next to him. “What do you mean?” Chad asked.
“Well it means that you will lose your right to vote, transferring your voting power to your female guardian,” the magistrate explained. “You will also lose your right to own private property, to help rebalance the material inequalities of previous centuries. Your guardian will become your representative. You will also be entered into a registry as a new class of male in society. Any contract you have with an employer will now involve your guardian, but if it was signed before your status-change, it will mean you no longer have certain rights to negotiate. There are some other minor details, but I will leave you to look them up.”
Chad felt a growing shock at what this status change would mean in his life, how it would formalize processes already underway, enshrining into law his submissive and lower position. Kelly would gain a whole new level of power over him. Worse, other women would also gain a new level of legal advantage and privilege compared to his position. Chad swallowed down a hot mixture of fear. He wanted to please Kelly. Her maternal presence only pushed him to want it more than ever. But he also feared what signing the legal papers for his guardianship would mean for his future.
“Well, I think it may be for the best given recent events in my life,” Chad said. He heard Kelly’s daughter, Maeve, giggle in the background.
The magistrate seemed to size Chad up with her eyes, her expression showing only a hint of bemusement. “Very well. We can sign the papers for the Affirmative Guardianship Status after a brief check has been done on any prior claimants,” she said.
“Prior claimants?” Kelly asked. “Isn’t he one of the first to sign up for the AGS?”
“Actually, he is the very first,” the magistrate replied, nodding. “I guess most men are still too reluctant to embrace the progressive changes improving all our lives. However, women are able to file claims to guardianship status on individual men. If multiple women seek guardianship, there will have to be a negotiation between them.”
“Don’t I decide who I get to be with?” Chad asked.
The magistrate shook her head. “That wouldn’t be in line with the AGS. The whole idea here is to place you into the care and custodianship of a woman or group of women who know what is best for you.”
“I see,” Kelly said. She sighed and played with Chad’s hair gently. “Well, I guess that makes sense. Otherwise a woman could simply pressure a small guy like Chad into becoming her guardian, with no one to get in her way.”
“Exactly,” the magistrate said. “I am sure the AGS law will be amended over time, but this is how it is for now.”
The older woman tapped on a screen at her desk. “Hmm…it appears there have indeed already been some claimants on Chadwick’s guardianship,” she said.
Chad’s eyes widened. “Who?”
“Let’s see here,” the magistrate said. Chad could see her clicking and scrolling through menus on her screen. “Ah, well there are three different claims: Nexifem Incorporated, Stacy Belmont, and Selina Perez. You seem to be quite popular, young man.”
“What? A corporation can file a claim?” Kelly asked.
“Oh my gawd,” Chad exclaimed. “You can’t be serious. I have to negotiate with them before Kelly can become my guardian under the AGS change?”
“Not you, honey,” Kelly said. “I’ll have to. I am sure they’ll understand, once we explain how things are. Your opinion does matter.”
“A little bit,” said the magistrate. “But if he wants to proceed, you will need to sort this issue out. Please note that this is not common. I’m sorry you have to go through this. Do you want me to give you the contact details for the other claimants?”
“Yes, please,” Kelly said.
Chad stared at the ground as his girlfriend talked to the magistrate. Kelly was explaining their history and the nature of their relationship and where he worked.
Chad’s small size had made him an object of desire, but not in the way he’d ever imagined. The idea of Ms. Belmont or Selina becoming his guardian frightened him deeply. What would it mean to become almost a form of property. It already felt like Nexifem owned him as a corporate asset. Now they were trying to make it legal and formal.
“Thank you,” Kelly said.
“Of course,” the magistrate said. “Could you sign here, Chadwick?”
Chad numbly signed a paper held out so he could reach it. “Did you sort it out?” he asked, looking up at Kelly. The magistrate took the paper back.
“Nearly,” Kelly said. “We’re going to have to meet with some ladies though, or maybe just me on my own. I’m not surprised other women desire you. I mean, look at how vulni you are! But I’m not going to let you go.”
The magistrate smiled. “I’m sure you’ll get what you want,” she said. “It doesn’t seem like you can be bought off.”
Kelly shook her head.
“Now that the process has been initiated, there is no reversal,” the magistrate said. “Chadwick’s signature has formalized the AGS process.”
“I can’t back out of this?” Chad asked, his eyes wide. He began to regret signing the paper Kelly had put before him. Flashbacks of being hired to Nexifem passed through his mind.
“No,” the magistrate answered. “You are now the first man to agree to AGS. I suspect you will receive a great deal of media attention once the registry is updated tonight or tomorrow.”
Kelly laughed. Maeve chimed in, and Chad looked at the floor. Neither woman’s laugh was malicious, but he felt the moment of their amusement none the less.
Kelly bent down toward Chad’s ear. “Soon you’ll be all mine,” she whispered. “Mommy Kelly won’t let the scary ladies take you.”
Chad put his hand into Kelly’s and they left the magistrate’s chambers together, followed by Maeve, who snapped pictures of them. She cooed at how cute the “happy couple” looked, and chattered about whether any other men might ever become small like Chad. “Oh my gawd, imagine if more guys ever become his size, right?” Maeve exclaimed. “I mean, most guys are a bit smaller, but not like that.”
All Chad wanted to do was to snuggle up in Kelly’s lap, but a fear lurked in his mind. What would Kelly do if she found out how Selina and Ms. Belmont had made him give them cunnilingus, that he’d hidden his experiences with them? Chad felt his life once again teetering on the edge of another major change.
He wanted to believe Kelly would win guardianship over him. He had to believe it.
Underlying all his feelings was the low hum of anxiety at his diminutive size. As another work week approached, Chad trembled at the idea of facing Ms. Belmont at an even smaller size. He needed to contact Ms. Everhart. He needed to put an end to whatever process had caused him to shrink independently on two separate occasions.
Chad felt the walls closing in on him. There was no going back, just as the magistrate had said. She hadn’t even realized how right she was.
Nexifem was winning and Chad had made it all possible.
Kelly pulled Chad into her lap as they got into a car with Maeve. “Let’s go home,” Kelly said.
Chad nuzzled against Kelly’s chest. “Your home?” he asked.
“Awww…” Maeve cooed.
“Our home, little prince,” Kelly said, putting her arms around him. “You’ll live with me now.”
Chad smiled and rested his head against Kelly’s cleavage. He didn’t say anything. It was for the best. His wage cut at Nexifem meant this was the perfect solution to a looming problem. Another piece of his independence and ego dissolved away in the lap of his amazonian girlfriend.

Wow, what a return! This chapter was fantastic. It combined fetish, characterization, and plot progression so wonderfully. Just as Chad put it, there’s no going back! If I had to bet money, I’d bet it on Nexifem winning his guardianship. With that said, I do hope Stacy wins. Her dynamic with him is simply perfect.
