I use GTARP/FiveM to practice my Spanish. It helps! Like, a lot.

I did a double bachelor's in history and philosophy, and the one thing I learned too late that I wish I had known is that in humanities degrees you can substitute most 100 and 200 level courses with 300 and 400 level. Of course they don't tell you this because the business and poli sci majors need to feel included and like their thoughts contain a trace of substance. But it's the one piece of advice id give to anyone who's going to study humanities for passion. Do as many senior level courses as you can especially the seminars and independent studies and skip the "intro to x" and all the students who are there because they were told to be. This way you get to skip the textbook nonsense and instead begin digging into primary sources and historiographies. Additionally any club who meets weekly and goes for drinks afterwards will always be filled with the most insane and esoteric schizos you will ever meet, it's a good time.

How about that scene in the extra-extended-directors-bris-cut-Marsala edition of Harry Potter where Ron summons Beetlejuice by saying his name three times during the MCU vs. Death Eaters showdown.

Elijah Waggoner

May Allah guide me to Providence for it is the first of October and I have not yet been graced with the Christobbler revelations

Paul Van Natten

God that sounds like a great topic for your inner weeb to pop out 🤣 I always love it to watch you go into incoherent babbling, as if Herodotus was reborn (with a little healthier skepticism of his drunk ass rants lol

Colton Cutchens

Cobb, I HIGHLY recommend doing Philosophy for your eventual humanities elective credits. I am biased because that is what I studied, but I cannot recommend them enough, based on what direction I feel you are going.

Fluffer

Honestly I am very much looking forward to more whimsical content. You can only let life whip you so long until you start craving to smile

Not in this economy, best we can do is spit in you hand for you.

God I'm glad you are doing well Peach

Personally, I can appreciate the original trilogy for what it was, but I REALLY like the exploration of the rise of Fascism with Sith Characteristics, and the fall of the Republic, in the prequels, it's a bad action movie trilogy, but as a political drama, actually a fun watch. While the sequel movies are blatantly corporate slop, this new era of SW TV is probably only around due to them, and Andor has the same political drama aspects I enjoy in the prequels, as well as some thriller and intrigue aspects.

Alexander Jonsson

The only good of the Clone Wars was humanising the Republic's slave military, and Ahsoka, and Ahsoka's character was ruined in all the following properties, all the character growth and individuality, that personal sense of justice that was against the accepted Jedi sense of Justice, gone. Ahsoka became the mentally handicapped Yoda of the original trilogy, for the 'next generation', and happily goes back to the same broken cult she just escaped, it's like leaving American Evangelism, to go join the Mormons, same underlying problems still present.

Flixtrap

Glad to see he’s still a man of taste and loves clone wars! Seriously though it seems crazy how clone wars was one of the last good “modern” projects and a time when Star Wars remembered how to tell stories worth caring about compared to newer projects that are based on nostalgia rather than quality and are too afraid to say something new, the show although marketed towards kids also trusted you with adult concepts like corruption and morality of the clones conceptually as child soldiers who have to grapple with growing up to be property of the republic without a choice and not having any freedom despite fighting for the freedom of others. Sorry for the rant I just really like the clone wars.

Cyber

Can I get an unenthusiastic handjob?????

Paden Jahnke

Aww, we’re putting the cobbler through college - wonderful development

Gerard Westinghouse - VonNoidmann

I expect nothing less than Rodney Dangerfield in "Back to School"-type shenanigans.

Paul Van Natten

the quotations around “animation” just gave me chills - I can’t wait 😊

DJ Peach Cobbler

I’m not trying to prove the professor wrong! Rather, I’m excited to write a history essay that shows my genuine passion for history. I want to cite something esoteric as fuck. As I said, I have much to learn. I can’t say that I’m gay and racist in a college essay (but I can strongly imply it)

Permanent Placeholder

imagine if this causes a similar situation to Kneecap and the big guy ends up having to wear a mask after everyone finds the channel

shinime kekemee

as a windowlicker whose been in college in one form or another since I was 16 (am 23 now) i can say with 90% certainty your classmates hate ur guts, nothing worse than the old dude who wants to show everyone up by proving the professor wrong, im happy you think its worth your time and i hope you get as much out of it as i do, despite its massive fucking flaws (also obligatory plug for gendy tartatovsky's clone wars)

kostoglotov

And he had some dried white line of something on his lips. What was that?

niflheimm

Once you get around to adapting Cobbler Goes to School into a sitcom musical, can I please play the role of the dastardly troublemaker?

Deltrian

Like I needed an excuse to deepen my parasocial relationship with the silly pie man

Challice Genest

I find it a crying shame that the story of episodes 1-3 we're done so poorly. We don't have enough modern, tragic films and it bums me out. That being said there is absolutely fucking zero going on in the rest of the Star Wars universe so they can get fucked.

James Jandt

Hey guys just did my first day of university classes. The professor was nice and really opened my eyes to the fact that the world isn't as simple and straightforward as we thought! It was cool, my classmates were nice! Except this one guy, he kept mumbling something about Cabeza De Vaca and Monetization? He threw a Kurt Vonnegut book at the professor once, I don't know what was up with that. Anyway after classes he cornered one of my friends, saying he was a total "twink" and looked like "a hot piece of pot pie" and asked if he wanted to "indulge in a ride on the old mudslide". Strange! Anyway, looking forward to the rest of the semester!

morowitch

Nice, keep on keeping on!

Please properly indoctrinate and enlighten your co-eds to the horrors that were the European invasion of Meso-America. Not only the ones the Europeans brought but those that were already there. Like taxes, and death whistles, and a budding economy based on slavery and potatoes....oh wait sorry that might be the Irish I'm thinking of.

Gordy McDont

Congrats Man. Happy for you, never too late to learn, ey?Hyped for the Lotr video. Good luck with everything.

Matt Barrett

I love this for you. Sounds like you're doing things that you enjoy and provide growth. Excited to see what you make.

RedShroom

Best of luck Cobbler. Don't let the education system grind you down. Degrees are for soyboys that can't tell an Apache from a Hualapai by their parietal bone. Just get learned real good and if you get the credit you deserve dont forget to flex on us and your imposter syndrome demon that lives in the George Forman grill.

DJ Peach Cobbler

I’m now jealous, that class was made for me

Espina

Fantastic. Glad to see this peaches, school those kids. Can't wait for the next essay. Also maybe the professors. I recently listed to a lectures in history on cspan episode where the professor spoke about Estabanico and the expedition of Narvaez but had nearly everything wrong. I can't wait to tell him. Thank you for turning my quiet listening and cooking into THIS SON OF A BITCH IS CORRUPTING THE YOUTS rage, top marks.

SkyrimL33T

Dude, you are too good for us all. It takes a fair bit of humility to step back into academia as an adult. I hope that the example you set as a self made scholar and intellectual will inspire some of these snot-nosed 19 year-olds to understand the value of education and take their studies seriously.

Razimatazim

That’s big stuff man, going back to school! I went back myself a few years ago after putting down the bottle. Isn’t easy being the older student but it’s been worth it for what I’ve been able to learn. Bully for you man, good stuff!

Christopher Ranc

Dude that's fucking awesome that you're going back to school!! Gotta get that PhD and get so good that makes Matthew Restall cites you.

Mason FDA

Good luck i loved history in highschool. I hated the teachers(mostly boring soft spoken people). Hope you have better luck than me.

The Big D

Man, this brought me right back. I signed up for a course in undergrad called “Colonizers and Colonized” fully expecting it to be the one I’d drop—some reheated “European discovery of the New World” narrative I’d already been spoon-fed a dozen times. First day, the professor strolls in late, drenched in sweat, drops a pile of books on the table and just growls: “This isn’t about modern colonization. We’re going to the roots—Phoenicians, Greeks, and ultimately Rome, whose empire every modern wannabe tried (and failed) to imitate.” Hooked instantly. That one curveball lecture ended up shaping my whole trajectory: I specialized in ancient Mediterranean history, went to law school (with that professor writing my rec), and now I’m finishing a book on dolus malus and AI that feels like the best thing I’ve ever written. So yeah—college is weird like that. You think you’re signing up for a throwaway credit, and then suddenly you’re re-wiring how you see history, law, and power. Enjoy the ride—and definitely the characters you’ll meet along the way. They end up mattering more than anything.

Kickstart_KDE

Awesome dude. Excited for the new stuff and glad you're getting back on your feet.

Symmetrymaster

Can't wait for those future wizard robes
