The Apache Wars: Death of a Dreamer
🕑 Added 2025-11-28 17:48:07 +0000 UTCToday, DJ Peach Cobbler continues the story of the long and brutal Apache Wars. By 1875 they appeared to be concluded, until U.S. policy changed to one of consolidating all Apache tribes on the San Carlos Reservation. This policy would lead to wars anew, with Victorio taking the warpath against the United States government and Geronimo becoming a shepherd of a desperate flock. This would culminate with the death of "The Dreamer", an Apache prophet who claimed that all the dead warriors would rise from the dead and wage a final war against the White Eyes. Tom Cruse guest stars!

SUGGESTION: When you read direct excerpts giving first hand descriptions of a person or event, can you include an on-screen mention of the subject being described? I often listen to your videos while doing chores and so I'm sometimes unsure if the quote is character A describing character B or vise versa

White eyes is a bit of a weird pejorative no? I mean. Could it be a mis-hearing of "Wide eyes"? The white rhino is not white, it was initially named the "Wide Rhino', but someone misheard Wide for White, and enough people wrote down White Rhino that we now call it White instead of Wide. Is there any interesting little tidbit about this "White Eyes" term? Like ... aren't all eyes white?
