Anecdotally, some of the most common sources of trauma I've seen in healthcare are around a lack of communication and empathy. Humans are incredibly resilient and can face illness and pain to an incredible degree. But when they feel alone, or kept in the dark, even a routine healthcare interaction can become traumatic. Unfortunately for corporations, patient and empathetic humans are expensive to employ!
