Han-yeoul cried bitterly for over ten minutes. Eventually, she stopped crying and sat still, her legs folded. The only sound was her occasional stomach growling, which made her ears flush with embarrassment.
I found her situation both amusing and absurd. Why cry in front of someone else's place? It seemed she was too ashamed to lift her head.
"Ha! Her bust is big, but she has no brains."
I decided to take some canned food from my tent and started cooking over a bonfire. For someone like Han-yeoul, who didn't even have a pot, this was a luxury beyond her wildest dreams.
—Sizzling sound!
I first sautéed canned beef, then added tomato and corn cans to simmer together. As the dish cooked, the savory aroma wafted through the air, and Han-yeoul reacted by twitching her shoulders.
At one point, she slightly lifted her head and met my gaze. She was startled and quickly looked away, but her embarrassment remained.
I couldn't help but speak to her. "Hey, how long are you going to stay like that? You'll starve to death."
She didn't respond, probably because she was too proud to accept my offer after her earlier outburst. It would be embarrassing to eat after causing such a scene.
"Hey, if you keep this up, I'll eat everything myself. Is that okay?"
When I asked again, Han-yeoul reluctantly lifted her head, though she still looked at me with disdain.
"What's wrong? Why are you glaring? Are you still resentful? Do you want to play a few more games?"
She quickly looked away and whispered in a barely audible voice, "I... I want some too... please."
I pretended not to hear her, enjoying her timid response.
"Hey, speak up. What's wrong with you? You're a grown adult, but you're being so shy."
She raised her voice, finally expressing her feelings.
"I want some too! I'm hungry! What's wrong with eating together?"
She shouted and then quickly hid her face again, looking like a sulky cat. This made me laugh.
"Okay, I get it. You have to ask like that. Do you want to come and have a bite?"
Her ears perked up, and she was clearly very hungry after crying for so long. She didn't hesitate for long.
"... Give me some, please."
"I'm not sure. I don't like giving food to someone who doesn't keep their promises."
"...?"
"Okay, I'll give you one bite for free. If you want more, you have to keep your promise."
"... What promise? You mean crawling like a dog? Are you telling me to act like a dog now?"
"No, I didn't say that. I said you'd be my pet. Since we're the only ones on this island, just do it. What's embarrassing about it?"
I took a big bite of the finished beef stir-fry, savoring its savory, slightly sweet flavor with the tomatoes and corn.
"Mmm... it's delicious. Here, have a bite. This one is free."
Han-yeoul couldn't be satisfied with just one bite, and when I offered her the spoon, she moved towards me as if drawn by a magnet.
"Okay, our Winter. Try it."
I called her name affectionately, like training a dog. She suddenly bared her teeth, ready to bite.
"You... what did you just say?"
But before she could complain, I quickly fed her a spoonful of the beef stir-fry. Her plump lips closed around the spoon, and she savored the taste.
—Chewing sounds!
After swallowing, she looked at me with longing eyes and greedily licked the spoon.
"Umm... umm."
"Hey, let go of the spoon. Let go."
—Plop!
The spoon flew out of her mouth with a sucking sound, leaving a trail of saliva. Han-yeoul quickly wiped her mouth.
"... What can I do? You're taking it away while I'm eating."
"Hey, there's not a single drop of sauce left. Can't you see the shiny spoon?"
"...?"
"Do you feel any different after tasting it?"
Her gaze couldn't leave the remaining beef stir-fry. She had tasted all sorts of delicacies in her life, but this flavor was something new.
I offered her another spoonful, and this time, she opened her mouth without hesitation.
Of course, I wouldn't give it to her for free. I started training her right away.
"Okay, our Winter. If you want another bite, give me your hand."
"?"
"Come on, Winter. Give me your hand quickly."
"... What is this?"
She looked at me incredulously, but I continued her training shamelessly.
"Hmm, Winter. Don't you want to eat? Give me your hand."
As I waved the spoon in front of her, her eyes wavered. If she hadn't tasted it before, she might have resisted, but now it was irresistible.
"Seriously... you're crazy... Teacher Kang, you're really crazy."
Despite her insults, her fingers moved hesitantly towards mine. After a few moments of hesitation, her hand finally rested on my palm. Her cute gesture made me smile.
"Oooh! Good job, our Winter. You did something nice. Here's your food. Eat it."
I offered her another spoonful, and she opened her mouth with a displeased expression. However, once the food was in her mouth, her eyes sparkled with joy.
She chewed enthusiastically, savoring the juices. I found her obedience charming and decided to push further.
"Okay, our Winter. Be nice. Give your master a kiss."
I stroked her hair gently and offered another spoonful. However, she couldn't bring herself to say the word "kiss" out loud and glared at me with disgust.
"... Teacher Kang, you're really crazy. Stop it."
Of course, I wouldn't give up. I pretended to be angry and took back the spoon, eating it myself.
Han-yeoul was startled and cried out.
"Ahh! Why did you do that?"
"Think about it. There's not much food left. If you keep acting like this, you'll be the one losing out."
"...?"
"Okay, our Winter. Will you give your master another kiss?"
I offered her another spoonful, and there were only about five bites left. This amount was barely enough for her alone.
After a brief hesitation, she closed her eyes, and her lips began to part.
As the daughter of the Daesung Group and the CEO of Daesung Food, she had always lived like a queen. But now, her lips uttered a humiliating, submissive cry.
"... Kiss..."
"Um? What did you say? Do it again?"
—Gulp!
"... Kiss..."
"Ah, our Winter! You're so cute! You did so well! Why are you so cute? You listen so well! Good girl!"
Her face flushed with shame, and her eyes filled with deep anger and defeat.
I fed her two more spoonfuls of beef, or else she might have picked up a rock to hit me.
—Munching sounds!
She ate with her eyes wide open, and I gently stroked her hair as if handling her.
Of course, she tried to push my hand away several times.
"Hey, Winter! If you keep doing that, I won't give you any more food."
"...?"
The food was soon gone, but she was still hungry and looked at me.
The boundaries of physical contact had lowered significantly, and she didn't even react when I adjusted her hair.
It seemed like an unspoken agreement that she would allow some contact if I provided food.
I brought out survival biscuits and cheese spread to further train her. I also offered her a coconut drink I had made.
These were foods she wouldn't normally consider, but now they were a luxury she couldn't afford to miss.
"Do you want some snacks, Winter?"
She nodded slightly at my question. After starving for a day, a few bites of beef wouldn't be enough.
I spread cheese on a biscuit and offered it to her. Of course, it wasn't free.
"Okay, Winter. Give your master a kiss on the cheek."
I tapped her cheek with my finger, and she shuddered with disgust. She looked conflicted, wondering if she really had to do this.
But what choice did she have? Would she not eat the delicious biscuit?
—Smack!
"... If I go back to Korea, I'll never let you off."
"Okay, no need for threats. Come on, give your master a kiss."
After my repeated urging, she let out a deep sigh and grabbed my jaw roughly.
—Smooch!♥
Her soft lips touched mine.
