We went to the accessories section of the department store.
The accessories were divided into two sections: one for women with rights and another for livestock. The livestock section was located above the pre-livestock clothing area.
The store was separated this way because the items for livestock would be distasteful to women with rights.
Accessories for women with rights mainly included rings, earrings, and necklaces. These necklaces were very thin, with intricately crafted jewels hanging near the chest.
However, livestock necklaces were different. They covered the entire neck and had a hook for attaching a leash. This was designed for the owner to control their property.
Another purpose of livestock necklaces was as a wedding gift. During the ceremony, the man would put the necklace on the woman, marking the moment she became his property and lost her rights.
"I wanted a ring..."
I flexed my fingers, remembering that I had always wanted to receive a ring from someone I loved.
But now, that wish is impossible.
Oppa gently grasped my shoulder.
"Ah..."
"Don't be nervous, Sol-ah."
He must have thought I was tense because I was fidgeting with my fingers.
"I'm not nervous, oppa."
I smiled at him, not wanting to show any anxiety while buying a symbol of our marriage.
"This is proof that I'll be yours. It's something to look forward to."
"...Sorry. I wanted to put a ring on your beautiful hand."
Rings can't be worn by livestock because the chip in the ring reacts with the implant in the livestock's body, causing it to explode.
"I'm not interested in rings. I prefer a livestock necklace, which is bigger and more impressive."
I held his hand.
"Please buy the most beautiful one. I want the moment my last rights disappear to shine."
"...Okay."
Oppa gave a brief, thoughtful response.
I didn't want to feel sad. My life is destined to be that of a livestock, owned by him.
I want to wear the most fitting livestock necklace. Let's think positively.
Being owned by someone I love is a joy.
"Let's go, oppa."
"Uh...okay..."
We entered the livestock accessories store.
The store was more extreme than I expected.
There were nose rings, nipple rings, clitoris rings, outer labia rings, and jeweled anal plugs on display.
Fortunately, they weren't displayed on mannequins.
"Let's go there."
Oppa pointed to the most expensive-looking store, Tiffani. It's a brand famous for using expensive diamonds and gold lavishly.
"It's okay, oppa. We don't need something that expensive."
"I want to make you shine. That brand seems perfect for it."
"But it's really pricey..."
"Don't worry. My father said he'd spend whatever it takes for you."
This must be a request from my father, wanting to make my last moments more beautiful.
I couldn't ignore Dad's last favor.
"Okay, let's go in."
We entered the Tiffani store, which had two guards.
"Welcome."
"We'd like to see wedding necklaces."
The display case had about ten extremely luxurious necklaces. They showed us the most extravagant one.
"This is a new product this season. It features a large diamond stone."
"Wow..."
I couldn't help but admire it. The diamond was at least five carats, sparkling beautifully. If it weren't a livestock necklace, it would be desirable even for a woman with rights.
"The inside is finished with soft leather to ensure comfort."
"There won't be any discomfort around the neck."
The salesperson showed us the hidden hook for attaching a leash.
"The leash hook is designed to be hidden, making it very sleek. It's the perfect necklace for your beautiful wedding."
"How do you like it, Sol-ah?"
I wanted to say it was lovely, but hesitated.
The necklace was more luxurious than any other livestock necklace. The leash hook was invisible, making it look like regular jewelry.
But the price was a problem. The diamonds were small but numerous and expensive.
"...How much is it?"
"6.7 million won."
That's enough to buy a house in the countryside. I couldn't ask oppa to spend that much.
"Let's go somewhere else, oppa."
"Why? Don't you like it?"
"It's too expensive. That price could buy a house."
"Do you like it?"
I hesitated, realizing what oppa was asking.
"Give me this one."
"Oh...oppa! No, I don't need something so expensive..."
He waved his hand to stop me from protesting.
"Oppa promised to make our wedding day shine. This is it."
"But it's..."
"You're mine, and you deserve to shine."
I couldn't argue further since it was my request.
"Let's get this one, Sol-ah."
"...Okay, oppa...I understand..."
I finally agreed to his persuasion.
So, my first livestock necklace was decided.
Now, all that's left is the studio photoshoot, wedding dress, and makeup.
We decided to start with the wedding dress, as we need it for the photoshoot.
Wedding dresses are also divided into two types: those for women with rights and those for livestock. We went to the livestock wedding dress store.
"Wow..."
The displayed dresses were all very revealing. I had expected less exposure since it's a formal wedding.
"The bride-to-be is very beautiful. Please try them on and decide."
The elderly saleswoman spoke only to oppa, assuming he was the one choosing the dress.
Typically, by this stage, the woman's rights are being stripped away.
"Sol-ah, which one do you want to wear?"
Oppa was on my side, ignoring the saleswoman and asking me directly.
"...One with minimal exposure..."
My voice trailed off. I felt intimidated by the saleswomen, who seemed to judge me.
"Didn't you hear the bride? Bring them over!"
The saleswomen quickly moved to prepare the dresses.
"Come on, try them on. If you find one you like, show it to me too."
Oppa smiled, taking care of my feelings.
"Thank you, oppa."
I bowed to him and hurried to the fitting room.
The dresses shown to me were all short, unlike the long wedding dresses I was familiar with.
"Is there a dress with a longer skirt?"
The saleswoman looked at me strangely.
"Are you perhaps a graduate of the National Capital University?"
They seemed to think I didn't understand traditional weddings because I wasn't familiar with them.
In fact, I hadn't learned much about weddings for livestock. I had only researched online.
"I graduated from a genius high school...sorry."
The saleswoman seemed to feel uneasy, as if she had misbehaved in front of a woman with rights.
"You don't know, do you? Before the wedding, you need to register your marriage..."
"Yes, I know."
"And you know that you'll wear the necklace at the end?"
"Yes, I do."
"So, when the groom puts the necklace on you, you'll lose your rights and have to walk on all fours in public..."
"Ah...yes?!"
I had forgotten. In public places, I'll have to walk on all fours.
"That's why we only have dresses with short skirts. It's hard to walk on all fours with a long dress."
The wedding venue is a public place...so when the necklace is put on me, I'll have to walk on all fours...
In front of my friends...with a leash on...
I thought I had accepted my fate as a livestock, but the thought of doing this in front of my closest friends made me tear up.
