The 10 billion won used as collateral, with an annual interest rate of 30%. It's a crazy deal. Even if it's simple interest, the interest alone would increase by 3 billion won annually. My earnings from attracting a million viewers, including incentives and appearance fees, were 10 billion won. I was the first to achieve this. Thanks to my good relationship with the director, I received a substantial incentive. Even so, the money I earned was just enough to pay the interest.
Yes, I learned in college that letters of recommendation are sold at high prices. Students who enter top universities with such letters are especially looked down upon.
Now I understand why I was particularly disrespected by other students. Someone must have heard about the bought letter of recommendation, and the rumor spread.
I thought it was just jealousy, but it wasn't. It was a situation where I deserved to be disrespected.
Four years in college and the time I was a rookie...the total debt would have been enormous. No matter how much money I earned, I couldn't pay it off.
My brother knelt down and bowed his head.
"Soo-rim, please understand me. I did my best for you! I spent 2 billion won to take responsibility for you until the end. I believed you would understand me, so please trust me and help me just once."
Ah...fool...such a foolish man.
If he had told me that, I would have put aside my pride and worked harder to earn money. If necessary, I would have done what he wanted.
The man who seemed like a devil started to look like my brother again. He made me a woman with human rights, investing an enormous amount of money despite the low probability of success. He accepted my refusal to offer sexual favors. He bought me again at double the auction price, even though he could have done anything with me, and promised not to touch me.
Was I the bad one? Did I act like a naive child, causing harm without realizing it?
Do I have to...do I have to entertain that disgusting chairman?
It's not just this. Since the man who could prove my innocence committed suicide, I can no longer return to being an actress.
This kind of entertainment will continue. Or maybe I'll have to appear in adult videos. As a livestock, not an actress, the only things I can do are entertain or appear in adult videos.
...I don't want to. I'm still a virgin. I want to give my virginity to someone I truly love.
...Haha...it's funny that I'm worrying about being a virgin when I've lost my human rights as a female livestock.
My mind is a mess. The plans, beliefs, and debts I owe my brother are all tangled up.
Yes, my plans have fallen apart. My belief in never offering sexual favors can no longer be kept.
To maintain that belief, I would have to die here. But if I die, I'll never be able to repay my brother's debt.
I cursed myself, born without knowing my parents, and this world that didn't take responsibility for me. I cursed my fate, which has turned me into a livestock that only produces children.
If I die here without responsibility, I'll become just like those I cursed.
Tears won't stop. I thought I had control over my emotions, but I was wrong.
I was nothing without my brother's sacrifice. I was a woman who couldn't do anything right without it.
I was a child until the end, throwing tantrums without realizing my mistakes.
I shouldn't be like that anymore. Even if I die later, I'll repay my brother's debt.
That's the only way I can repay him for helping me achieve my dream of attracting a million viewers.
The knife fell from my hand.
I knelt down.
"Brother...I'll do it...I'll do whatever you want."
My conviction was crushed, and tears flowed so much that I couldn't see.
But one thing was clear: my brother's relieved face as he approached me.
"Soo-rim...thank you...really thank you......"
I was in my brother's arms. It was a trigger.
"Huuu...Brother...I'm sorry!! Really sorry!! I was wrong!!"
"It's okay...I was wrong...I'm sorry...sorry......"
"Huuuuuuh!!!!"
My brother warmly accepted my confession, and I let go of everything I had been holding onto.
As an actress, I...
"I'll leave now."
"Okay, go ahead. You did well."
"I'll come back for Limi later."
"Yes......"
The room was left with just me and the former chairman.
"Huh-huh, have you made up your mind, Limi?"
He called me Limi. I didn't want to be called that even in death, but it's the name of a livestock without human rights.
I have to accept it.
"Yes...thank you."
"Good, good. Now I can see everything about our Limi."
The former chairman, now referred to as "Goomoon," couldn't hide his excitement. He wasn't just fired as a chairman; he created a new position as an advisor and still dominated STB.
"What I thought was justice...turned out to be nothing."
I remembered my brother's words, saying that my actions wouldn't achieve anything. But I ignored them, acting foolishly.
"Let's see you undress, Limi. We need to test if you're suitable for our broadcast."
"Yes, sir."
The broadcast...it's probably an adult video channel. To repay my brother's debt, simple entertainment won't be enough; I'll have to appear in adult videos.
The profits from adult videos are unimaginable. The adult video market is encouraged by national policies that cater to men's desires.
Men like spending money on beautiful women. That's why actresses offering sexual favors to PDs or directors is effective.
I once heard from a friendly director that no matter how many movies you make or how many viewers you attract, you can't beat the adult video market.
It's true. Almost all actresses debut through adult videos. Cases like mine, becoming a top actress without appearing in adult videos, are rare.
I was foolish. If I had given in to my pride, things might have improved a bit.
"Are you still hesitant, Limi? Don't you want to appear on our broadcast?"
"No...it's not that...I'll do it!"
I quickly undressed. The shame of undressing in front of a 60-year-old bald pervert didn't feel like shame anymore. I'm just a livestock, a female without human rights, a possession of my brother.
I do as I'm told.
"Good, good. You look like a 20-year-old girl who just graduated."
I always took care of my body, doing strength training so that no part of me would sag.
He approaches me. I take a step back, startled, but then move forward again. I shouldn't do that. I'm not a person; I'm just a livestock that needs to repay a debt.
Suddenly, a strong impact hits my buttocks.
"Huuu...this is great! I was worried since you're in your late 20s, but you're different from other actresses! Did you maintain your body through massage and exercise?"
"Yes...massage and exercise......"
"Good, good! I love it! Huh-huh-huh......"
My buttocks feel hot and red. I used to be careful not to leave any marks on my skin, but all that effort was in vain.
"Let's see you greet me, Limi."
A greeting. I've seen it once before at a host bar where actresses were forced to go.
It was a place where women had the upper hand, where handsome men from the lower classes entertained wealthy women.
The men would kneel naked, bowing their heads, and the actresses would touch them, giggling.
I was disgusted and left immediately.
"I...I'm leaving. I don't feel well."
"Don't bother with that outcast. She's ruining the mood."
The voices of the actresses mocking me as I left were vivid.
Back then, I didn't understand why they did that. I couldn't comprehend that they were releasing their frustrations from being treated by men in such places.
"Ah, you said this was your first time in a place like this? You don't know how to greet?"
"No...not at all, sir. I've been to a host bar once before."
"Really? You, an upright woman, have been to a host bar?"
I tried to make an excuse, but it didn't matter.
"Okay, let's try it. Doing it and watching it are different, but it's fun to see a beginner's greeting."
"Yes...okay......"
I knelt down, gathered my thighs, placed my hands on the ground, and touched my forehead to the space between them.
"I offer my greetings to you, Chairman...Limi..."
"Huh-huh-hah-hat!! Perfect! You're a great actress, even for a beginner!! Huh-hat! Hah-hah-hah-hat!!!"
A chilling laugh. It doesn't sound like praise.
My body starts to tremble.
