With only one mission left to reach the Silver Rank, I could now choose any task and complete it without much concern.
However, there wasn't a single mission that appealed to me.
Perhaps it was fortunate that there were few candidates who had achieved the Silver Rank.
The Bronze Rank had been relatively easy, but the Silver Rank required goals four times as challenging.
The Bronze Rank test was like a gentle hill, while the Silver Rank test was akin to climbing a cliff.
Thanks to this, I no longer felt the need to rush.
"Jin-woo, wake up! Everyone's acting strange!"
"Uh..."
I didn't wish for things to escalate, but something had happened.
Yumi, who was usually calm, was now frantic.
"What's going on?" I asked, releasing the stale air from the night before.
"What's happening is that the kids are kissing and hugging each other... It's not a joke!"
I was taken aback. What did she mean?
Without hesitation, I rushed to the living room and found two pairs of female couples embracing each other like slugs.
"Sophia, you're beautiful today."
"You're beautiful too, Garum."
Churp! Churp! Churp!
Garum and Sophia were passionately kissing, their tongues intertwined.
Their heavy breathing and the sound of their kissing filled the air.
"Look, everyone's acting strange!"
"Yes, they are."
"This isn't the time to say that!"
Indeed, the women were behaving strangely, even ignoring my presence.
I sighed, feeling a familiar sense of unease.
"This is similar to the terrorist attack at the male training facility."
This time, however, it was women falling in love with each other, not men.
There was no violence towards the opposite sex, but I was certain it was the work of Reverse Change.
"Why is Yumi the only one unaffected?"
I still didn't know how the terrorists had managed to do this.
Was Yumi in a safe place when the attack happened?
"No, that can't be."
The four people at home, including Yumi, should have been affected as well.
But Yumi seemed perfectly normal.
"Ahh, what if Yumi is part of Reverse Change?"
What if she had been pretending all along?
I couldn't shake off the suspicion.
"What if everything she's done was just an act?"
That thought was unbearable.
Yumi had been my support during difficult times.
If she had been deceiving me from the start, I might revert to my old self.
"Please, please, let that not be true."
Just then, a strange song interrupted my thoughts.
I pulled out my phone, and a glimmer of hope appeared.
"How's the situation there?"
"Most people are showing abnormal symptoms, but we can respond quickly."
Fortunately, Jisahwa seemed unaffected by the attack.
If she had been affected, we would have been helpless.
I let out a sigh of relief.
Jisahwa asked in a serious tone, "How did you know?"
"How did I know? I just did it on a whim."
"I see. You suspected something was off since the last attack."
The terrorists treated men as valuable resources, but those in the male training facility weren't particularly valuable.
Olivia must have known this.
Why did they target the male training facility instead of more important facilities?
"Maybe they were conducting an experiment."
"An experiment? What do you mean?"
"Maybe they wanted to see how much influence they could exert."
The previous attack might have been just a warning.
This one could be the real deal.
The Ero Management Bureau, where Jisahwa worked, was also attacked.
Considering the distance between the bureau and my home, it's possible that all women in Korea have become lesbians.
"What about the request I made earlier?"
"We have about three hours until Yangsan."
"That's not bad."
It won't take days, just a few hours.
Yumi seemed to have overheard the conversation and let out a sigh of relief.
However, my suspicion towards Yumi didn't fade.
Just then, the TV turned on, showing a familiar figure.
"Why is she on TV?"
It wasn't a regular broadcast but seemed to be transmitted in a different way.
"Hanna..."
"Sundeok?"
Hanna, a member of the same girl group as Yumi, was on screen.
She looked like a villain, speaking harshly.
I learned that Hanna's real name was Sundeok.
[We'll still love each other like blooming flowers. In two hours, I'll give the signal, and you'll annihilate all those cockroach-like men.]
"I expected as much."
It seems the situation has escalated in an unexpected way.
Why is she doing this?
If she hates men so much, why not kill them immediately?
Hanna seemed to anticipate my question.
She glared at me with a malicious gaze and made a demand.
[You must be watching this, Kim Jin-woo. Take Senna to the location I specify. If you don't, all men in Korea will die.]
The TV turned off.
Fortunately, the location wasn't far, and we could arrive within two hours.
"Why do you want Yumi to come with me?"
The condition seemed suspicious.
Considering the current terrorist situation, Hanna might be involved with the perpetrators.
"What should we do, Yumi?"
Yumi closed her eyes, thinking.
Then, with determination in her voice, she said, "Let's go. There's no other choice now."
"Okay. Just stay by my side."
"Don't worry, I'll always be with you."
---
Later, we arrived at the designated location.
In the middle of a crossroads, Hanna shouted, "You're late! You've kept me waiting!"
"I've run here with all my might! Is that something to complain about?"
Hanna's malevolence was palpable.
After only 30 minutes, she was already complaining.
However, when Yumi arrived, panting heavily, Hanna's expression turned red with rage.
"How dare you make Senna suffer?"
"You're the one responsible!"
Hanna was loud and obnoxious.
Despite her behavior, she looked good in her apron.
"What's the reason you called me here?"
"Hmph! It's to get Senna back. What else could it be?"
I expected as much.
Her demand was too obvious.
I considered not bringing Yumi, but her determination made it impossible to leave her behind.
"Give Senna back and leave now!"
"I don't want to."
Yumi was not someone I could give up.
The threat of killing all men in Korea was serious, but not urgent enough to sacrifice Yumi.
If needed, I could impregnate all women in Korea.
"You're crazy! You're planning to kill everyone!"
"You're the one causing the chaos. Sundeok."
"Don't call me by my real name!"
Hanna reacted violently.
Yumi's hatred for her real name seemed genuine.
However, this wasn't useful information for resolving the situation.
"Let's just have a cup of tea together since we've met."
Just as I was about to approach, a bullet landed near my foot.
Were there snipers?
Maybe there were other Reverse Change agents.
I looked around and saw someone in a familiar uniform aiming a gun at me.
"It's the Ero Management Bureau's suppression team."
They must have been affected by the terrorist attack as well.
I thought it would be amusing to tell Jisahwa about this later.
"Don't approach me, you filthy man. Your tricks won't work."
Hanna was cunning.
"Sundeok, don't use my real name!"
Yumi couldn't be handed over.
I'd rather aim for a stalemate than give her up.
However, with snipers around, any movement would result in a hail of bullets.
I didn't know how many snipers there were.
"What about Senna?"
"What about her?"
"Does she seem unaffected?"
Hanna spoke to Yumi, ignoring me.
Yumi was startled but remained calm.
Sundeok smiled slyly.
"I've used a gas bomb that reverses the existing common sense alteration."
"So that's why Jisahwa was unaffected."
It made sense that Jisahwa was fine since she wasn't affected by the alteration.
"But what about Yumi?"
If Yumi wasn't affected like Jisahwa, it would mean she had immunity.
However, that didn't make sense.
Yumi was once the leader of a top idol group.
She had plenty of money and could have avoided danger by staying home.
Why would she attend an onahole university?
That didn't add up.
"Sometimes, people have immunity to the gas."
Yumi nodded quietly.
Sundeok stretched out her arms, asking Yumi to come to her.
However, Yumi refused, clinging to me.
"I won't go. I'm Jin-woo's onahole, and I promised to stay by his side."
Sundeok's expression turned menacing.
Her face was like something from a horror movie.
She pulled out a bazooka and fired it at Yumi.
I shielded Yumi, and the rocket exploded on the ground.
"Kulruk! Krehk!"
"This is a special rocket with 30 times the concentration of the gas used in the terrorist attack!"
Even with immunity, Yumi couldn't withstand such a powerful dose.
I tried to cover her mouth and nose, but she grabbed my hand and started walking towards Sundeok.
Despair filled my heart as Sundeok rejoiced.
"Ah, sister. You've finally returned to me!"
Yumi stood before Sundeok, who tried to embrace her.
But Yumi delivered a perfect screw punch, knocking Sundeok to the ground.
Sundeok struggled to get up, looking bewildered.
"Uh, sister?"
Yumi's voice was cold and unfamiliar.
Sundeok trembled in fear.
"I'm not affected by the common sense alteration."
Sundeok and I were both shocked.
Yumi had been acting normally all along?
"Kkweuk!"
Yumi stabbed Sundeok with a knife.
Blood flowed onto the asphalt.
Yumi looked down at Sundeok calmly.
"I'll kill you. And anyone who harms Jin-woo will die too."
