The next morning, we woke up early to get ready to leave the inn.
Maybe because I’d spent all night in the hot spring with the two women, my mind was a bit hazy.
I wanted to sleep more, but there was no time to slack off if we wanted to catch our flight.
Dragging my heavy body, I finished washing up and was changing clothes when-
A sudden, sharp pain struck my head.
“Ugh?!”
It felt like I’d been hit with a hammer.
It was a much more intense pain than what I’d felt at home before, and I couldn’t help but furrow my brow deeply.
“Damn…! I thought I’d turned off the self-hypnosis, so why again…!”
Honestly, I’m not even sure self-hypnosis is the direct cause of these headaches.
It’s just a guess.
Fortunately, the severe pain passed as quickly as it came, like a wave.
My blurry vision slowly refocused and seemed to return to normal.
“Huh?”
Noise.
At the edge of my vision, I saw a faint static, like the flicker of an old CRT TV screen.
A chill of déjà vu and an ominous feeling ran down my spine.
I hurried to the bathroom, legs shaky, and checked the mirror.
Thankfully, my reflection looked normal.
The noise that had clouded my vision was also gone, as if it had never been there.
“Whew.”
Only after confirming that did I let out a long, relieved sigh.
‘Is it just fatigue? Or…’
Maybe the act of hypnosis itself is putting some kind of strain on me.
I don’t know for sure, but once I’m back in Korea, I should consult with Child about it.
“Assistant Manager, is something wrong? You don’t look well.”
As I splashed cold water on my face and headed back to the room to finish packing, I ran into Jooyoung in the hallway.
She also had dark circles under her eyes from being up all night with me, but even so, she looked at my face first with a worried expression.
“I’m fine, Team Leader. I guess I just didn’t sleep well.”
Jooyoung gave a little laugh at my words.
That smile now had a familiar sultriness to it.
“Well, we did go a bit overboard last night, didn’t we? Hehe. Mina was grumbling this morning about her back hurting.”
“Haha. I guess I was a bit much? Are you all packed?”
“Yes. I just need to grab my things and head to the lobby.”
She replied shyly, as if last night’s heated memories still felt like a dream, unable to take her eyes off me.
After that, we packed up and went to the lobby to check out.
The okami came out to personally see us off.
Unlike her composed and polite manner at check-in, she now seemed shy and couldn’t meet my eyes.
“Hyunseong… I mean, Assistant Manager. Please do come again next time. I’ll make sure to serve you even more attentively than today.”
Her voice was full of unmistakable anticipation.
From the moment I met her, I could tell she had more sensuality than met the eye.
And she was married, too.
All it took was a single suggestion to amplify her libido, and she fell so easily.
I don’t know if I’ll have another chance to come to Japan for business, but if I do, I wouldn’t mind visiting again.
“Tsk.”
Glancing to the side, I saw Jooyoung and Mina glaring at the okami with open wariness.
Especially Mina, who clicked her tongue and openly showed her displeasure.
Jooyoung poked my side, silently expressing her own discontent.
I ignored the sharp looks from both women and returned the okami’s polite farewell before leaving the ryokan.
I dozed off a bit in the car on the way to the airport, and before boarding the plane, I messaged Rizeta.
[Hyunseong: Rizeta, I’m about to board. I should arrive by noon.]
[Rizeta: Yes, understood. I’ll be waiting at the airport at the right time.]
Her reply was as prompt as ever.
Now that I had both Kang Jooyoung and Park Mina in my grasp, it was time to start thinking about my next “game possession.”
Heh.
There’s never a dull day lately.
The flight was a bit boring, but teasing the two women sitting next to me made the time pass quickly.
Finally, the plane landed at Incheon Airport, and as I exited, Rizeta was waiting at the arrivals gate as promised.
But this time, she was dressed in a maid outfit, not regular clothes.
“Hyunseong, you’re back safely.”
“Yes. But that outfit… did you come straight from doing housework?”
“Yes. I was just finishing up before you returned.”
“I see.”
It made sense, but coming all the way to the airport in a maid outfit drew a lot of stares.
Jooyoung and Mina, following behind, noticed Rizeta and started whispering.
Then, Rizeta naturally moved close to my side, as if to link arms.
It was a scene similar to when I left for the trip.
[If you’re going to make a harem, you’d better be ready for this kind of chaos, right?]
Child’s sly voice echoed in my ear. So it was your doing after all.
No wonder Rizeta was acting a little unnatural. But this time, things were a bit different from last time.
“Assistant Manager, come to think of it, you never introduced us before. Now that we’re all here, why don’t you introduce us?”
Jooyoung approached first, looking Rizeta up and down with a sharp gaze.
Her voice was full of undisguised wariness and jealousy.
“Ah, this is Rizeta. She’s… a housemate who’s staying with me for a while due to some circumstances…”
As I fumbled through the introduction, Rizeta suddenly cut me off and stepped forward.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Rizeta, Hyunseong’s maid. Please take care of me.”
She bowed politely, but there was a subtle hint of challenge in her expression.
“Maid…?”
Jooyoung frowned openly, glancing over Rizeta again.
Then she shot me a look as if to say, “You have this kind of weird taste too?”
It could have ended there, but Mina jumped in.
“Oh, hello? I’m Park Mina, Hyunseong’s junior at work. I’ve heard a lot about you, Rizeta.”
She spoke with a friendly smile, but there was a hidden sting in her words.
When did I ever tell her about Rizeta?
But Mina ignored my questioning look.
“Ah, yes. I’ve heard a lot about you from Hyunseong as well, Park Mina.”
Rizeta met Mina’s gaze directly, not backing down.
To see three women, who didn’t even know each other, bristling and sparring like this was something else.
[See? A harem is only fun when there’s this kind of tension. Hehehe.]
Why are you the one enjoying this so much?
I thought I’d better step in and mediate, but just then, a familiar voice called out to Jooyoung.
It was Park Mincheol.
“Oh, Mincheol!”
“You’ve worked hard, honey. Did the trip go well? And Assistant Manager, thank you for everything.”
Mincheol, looking exhausted, greeted Jooyoung with concern and bowed politely to us.
I gave him a short nod, mocking him inwardly.
“I told you there was no need to come pick me up.”
“I just wanted to get out for a change. Did everything go well?”
“…Yes.”
Jooyoung, flustered by her husband’s sudden appearance, awkwardly smiled and grabbed his arm.
There was no need for her to be so nervous.
Unlike with Jooyoung, the suggestion I’d placed on Mincheol was still perfectly intact.
“And who is this lady next to you?”
Handling two women was already tough, and now Mincheol was showing interest in Rizeta too.
I was about to brush it off when-
“Huh?”
Mina, who had been standing half a step away, suddenly let out a dazed sound.
Everyone turned to where she was looking.
[Breaking News]
All the large monitors in the airport suddenly switched to a red banner with an emergency news alert.
[Breaking] A giant, unidentified tree has appeared in the center of I-sang City, Gyeonggi Province! Some surrounding buildings damaged, communication outages reported…
The screen showed an unbelievable sight.
In the middle of my city, in a familiar landscape,
A single, sky-piercing giant tree stood tall.
It looked surreal, as if it had just popped out of nowhere.
The news anchor, voice urgent and trembling, reported that the tree had appeared right next to the “Travel Wiz” I-sang branch.
As a result, the branch building was partially damaged and communications in the area were down.
“What… what’s going on?”
Suddenly, a cold, intense sense of unease, just like I’d felt that morning, swept over my whole body.
It was as if I could hear the sound of a crack running through my once-peaceful daily life.
