Three days after the confession incident
“I’ll accept.”
“Really? That means today is our day one!”
I agonized over this decision.
I barely slept for three nights because of it.
In the end, I decided to accept her confession.
Why?
‘No matter how I look at it, if I reject her, all the attention will turn to me.’
Given the choice between “the guy who was confessed to by a gyaru” and “the guy who rejected a gyaru’s confession,” the former seemed better.
‘Don’t think about the red pill...’
Very few people knew what Kim Minji used to look like.
At most, just my classmates.
To others, there were only rumors like “she lost a lot of weight” or “she got plastic surgery.”
No one really knew how drastic the change was.
“Hmph~ Jungwoo~”
Kim Minji rubbed herself against me.
“....”
Honestly, I had no idea how to react.
‘Was she always like this?’
Maybe she was an extroverted nerd, forced into being an outcast by her body?
I didn’t know.
After that, we had a pretty “normal” couple life.
Even at lunch
“Aang~”
...Is that the famous gyaru?
Wow...
“Hey, everyone’s watching.”
If I had a complaint, it was her constant public displays of affection.
“So what? I’m just marking you as mine~”
‘That’s the problem...’
I may be an ordinary guy, but I’m still a guy.
Even knowing all about the “red pill,” Kim Minji was now one of the top beauties in the city.
If you didn’t have dirty thoughts, you’d be the weird one.
She probably killed billions of my sperm without even knowing it.
Even during class
“Jungwoo~ I don’t get this problem!”
“We’re in class right now.”
“Aang~”
“...Quiet over there.”
My seatmate was supposed to be a guy, but somehow Kim Minji had switched seats to be next to me.
“...Sorry.”
At this rate, she’d probably follow me home too.
And when she came to my house...
“....”
‘What am I thinking...’
Get a grip, Ha Jungwoo. You know who she really is.
I glanced over.
She was lying on her side, using her chest as a cushion on the desk, eyes closed, already asleep.
‘She really is stunning...’
Well, isn’t being pretty enough? No matter what she looked like before...
‘No, no.’
That kind of thing(?) is for people in love.
‘Do I love Kim Minji?’
She clearly has feelings for me.
But me?
Until recently, I didn’t care about her at all.
‘So what about now...’
I tried to like her after the confession, but I don’t think I’ve made much progress yet.
My real worries were just beginning.
A month passed.
Kim Minji’s affection seemed to have cooled off a bit.
‘...Is that a relief?’
Maybe I was too cold.
Now, Kim Minji had enormous influence at school.
“Bye, Minji!”
“Yeah~”
Friends from other classes came to see her nonstop,
Even the so-called delinquents looked at her kindly.
Honestly, the change was so drastic it was hard to believe.
Her reputation(?) spread to other grades, and now everyone at school knew her name
For better or worse.
Even the delinquents who used to bully her apologized and became close.
‘...Smells like cigarettes.’
Sometimes she’d come back smelling like she’d been smoking with the delinquents.
“Jungwoo! I can’t go home with you today... Let’s go together tomorrow?”
“...Okay.”
We used to go home together almost every day, but now it was only about half as often.
Walking home alone, I thought:
‘...Aren’t I paying more attention to Kim Minji lately?’
Why should it matter whether she walks home with me or not?
We’re dating, but I don’t like her...
It’s weird to suddenly like her just because her looks changed.
And if I miss her now, it’s just because I got used to being with her every day for a month.
That’s all.
Really?
‘...Who’s there?’
Do you really think so?
‘...Of course.’
You actually like Kim Minji.
‘No, I...’
Kim Minji...
‘....’
See? Why can’t you say you don’t like her?
You like Kim Minji.
Imagine if Kim Minji broke up with you. How would you feel?
‘Imagine breaking up...’
“Let’s break up.”
“...All of a sudden? Why?”
“I just found someone cooler and nicer than you...”
“Oh, Minji. Is this the guy you mentioned?”
“Ah... oppa...!”
The guy Kim Minji brought to break up with me was...
Disgusting.
His skin looked like mud. Even if I didn’t shower for 100 days, I’d be cleaner than him.
He didn’t even look human. I’m not handsome, but compared to him, I’m an idol.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Minji’s boyfriend. ‘Ex-boyfriend.’”
“Ah...”
He was naked, and his dick was huge and thick.
‘He’s just a monster...’
If your girlfriend gets stolen, you’re supposed to feel angry or upset, but I didn’t.
It was like watching a natural disaster there’s no point in getting mad.
He didn’t even seem human.
‘There’s nothing I can do.’
But that only applied to the guy. It didn’t apply to Kim Minji, the girlfriend who was taken.
“Shit...”
Still going to say you don’t like Kim Minji?
‘...What was that just now?’
I’d never cursed before, but I couldn’t help it.
Imagining breaking up with Kim Minji brought up all sorts of complicated feelings:
Anger, sadness, defeat, frustration...
“....”
‘But it’s just my imagination.’
I admit it.
Without realizing it, I’ve come to like Kim Minji.
Whether it’s just her looks, or both her looks and personality.
Now that I know, all that’s left is to act.
That’s what I’ve always been best at.
‘I’m going to make Kim Minji mine. I don’t want to lose her to anyone.’
“Jungwoo~! I have plans today...”
“No.”
“?!”
‘Jungwoo... has changed?’
Kim Minji could tell from my answer that I’d changed.
‘Did my push-pull strategy work?’
Yes.
After endlessly coming on to me with the “mega-deredere” approach and getting nowhere, she switched to “push-pull.”
Hanging out with delinquents and keeping her distance from me was all part of the plan.
“Cancel your plans.”
“...Okay.”
‘Ah... Jungwoo’s finally looking at me!’
The plan worked.
Finally, I was paying attention to her!
She’d gone through a lot of heartache keeping her distance, but the result was so sweet it made it all worth it.
“There’s somewhere I want to go with you today.”
“J-just the two of us?!”
He was being so forward!
She’d pretended to be okay when I pushed her away, but it actually hurt.
After changing everything her looks, her personality if it still didn’t work, it would mean she could never have me.
But maybe life isn’t so cruel.
Her last hope, the “push-pull” strategy, worked perfectly, and she regained her confidence.
I practically dragged her to a manga café.
A place where you can rent a room and read comics.
And, for students, it’s known as the best place for sex.
‘Uh... what?!’
Of course, that could have just been her fantasy.
She knew I watched anime, after all.
So did she.
Maybe we really were just there to read comics.
But when she looked at my ears
‘They’re so red!’
She knew my ears turned red when I was embarrassed.
So I must have been really embarrassed right then.
‘He’s totally thinking about doing it!’
Not that she minded.
But my attempt was cut short.
“No.”
The café owner stopped us!
He thought Kim Minji’s outfit was too provocative and made the call.
