"Finally, we've arrived."
Seven days since leaving the forest.
At last, we've reached a city bustling with people.
The reason for the delay was that I wasted a lot of time having sex with Karin, but I have no regrets.
The biggest problem is that I've spent more money than expected.
A bribe was needed just to get into the city.
"Master, should we find an inn first?"
"We can't very well sleep on the streets. Yes, let's do that."
A good and comfortable inn costs 1 gold per person.
2 gold per day.
With the money we have left, we can't even last a month.
So the first thing we need to do is clear:
Earn money.
The problem is how.
Since it's a city where people gather, maybe we could get by doing odd jobs.
But if that was the plan, I would have just kept rolling around in the forest with Karin.
"Karin."
"Yes, Master."
"From now on, our goal is to gather information."
"What kind of information should I collect?"
"Nobles. Especially, gather and organize any information about women among them. I'll go ask the beggars."
Human nature is similar here, too.
Nobles pretend to be great on the outside, but most are actually lost in luxury and pleasure.
If you find a gap, it's not impossible to target them.
"Then I'll check out taverns and places where people gather."
Karin walked off toward the crowded street.
"I'll try this way."
The opposite direction from where she went.
I head into a dark, musty-smelling alley.
I hadn't walked far into the alley before a suspicious shop caught my eye.
There were also some unsavory-looking people around-some looked rough, some just shady.
It felt unbelievable that just a short walk away was a street full of lively people.
This must be what they call the gap between rich and poor.
The world is different, even within such a short distance.
I look around.
Many beggars are sleeping under ragged pieces of cloth.
I guess I should try waking someone up.
"Hey, mister."
I approached a nearby beggar and called out, but there was no response.
When I shook his sleeping body roughly, he finally opened his eyes.
A scraggly beard and a haggard face.
Anyone could see he was a real beggar.
"Ugh... What is it?"
"It's nothing much. If you tell me something you know, I'll give you this."
I take out some gold from my pocket and show it to him.
As soon as he sees the money, the sleep vanishes from his face.
"Oh, sir! I'll tell you anything you want to know!"
"Tell me everything you know about the nobles nearby. Or about any rich merchants."
"There are plenty of rich merchants here in Roern. And the noble who rules this place is Lady Selena."
"Then tell me more about this Selena."
"Lady Selena is a beautiful woman with attractive blue hair. She came here a few years ago."
"A beauty, huh. Good. Keep going."
"A few years ago, her husband died of illness, and now she's a widow."
A beautiful noblewoman who's also a widow?
That's exactly the kind of target I want.
"She's amazing. Even before she got married, she stabilized the city in place of her bedridden husband."
"What about her mansion or places she frequents?"
"Her mansion isn't hard to find... but I don't really know where she goes often."
I guess it's hard for a beggar to know detailed information about a noble.
Still, just learning about her is a big gain.
I hand him a gold coin, and suddenly he shouts as if he remembered something.
"Oh! Now that I think about it, I did see her once before."
"What was it?"
"But if I tell you this, I might get in a bit of trouble..."
He hesitated on purpose.
He must want more money.
A shrewd beggar.
"If it's useful information, I'll give you more."
"Oh, thank you!"
He bows deeply in thanks.
If it's a useless or ridiculous story, I won't give him anything.
"I saw her coming out of a shop in the back alley a few months ago."
"That's it?"
"Of course not. The shop she came out of was a store specializing in adult products."
If he's telling the truth, this is a big find.
If she's frustrated, it's likely she's visiting such stores.
Especially since her husband has been dead for a long time.
"You're not making this up, are you?"
"Of course not!"
Judging by his attitude, he doesn't seem to be lying.
If he were, he'd have made up a safer story.
"Alright. Take it."
I take out another gold coin and hand it to him.
"If things go well, I'll give you even more."
"Huh? What do you mean, if things go well?"
"It's just something like that."
Leaving the puzzled beggar behind, I move on.
How can I use this information?
Staking out the shop for a while is hard.
Who knows when she'll come?
Might as well approach her first.
A room filled with luxurious things.
Moonlight streams in through the window.
A woman in a white dress sits in an antique chair.
Her name is Selena, with her charming blue hair.
She is the noble who governs the city of Roern and a young widow.
"Haa..."
Selena lets out a deep sigh.
It wasn't because of grief over her dead husband.
There had never been any love in the marriage, and he was dying from the start.
'Who would've thought it would turn out like this.'
Her husband had little time left to live.
With no heir, he married Selena, a fallen noblewoman, hoping for children.
But his illness worsened right after the wedding, and he died in bed without ever producing an heir.
Now it's rare to hear, but back then there were even rumors that she was a witch or a succubus.
'Ridiculous. We never even slept together.'
Everything her husband left behind became Selena's property.
That much was good.
But the city her dying husband had ruled was in chaos.
If she hadn't been competent, she wouldn't even have had time to rest.
Now, the city is stable and everything seems fine.
But in her mid-twenties and worn out from heavy responsibilities, she developed a secret hobby.
At first, she relieved the stress of paperwork through masturbation.
With no man to satisfy her, Selena grew more and more curious about stimulating methods.
Selena carefully opened the door and looked outside.
'No one there.'
After confirming the empty hallway, she sat back down in her chair.
She opened a drawer and looked inside.
Inside the drawer was a dildo.
One of the tools women use for masturbation.
It was a special item she bought a few months ago from a shop in the back alley.
'Should I try it out?'
Selena carefully reached into the drawer and took out the dildo.
'They said once you start, you can't take it out until you finish.'
The dildo she bought was an expensive magic item.
Once activated, it never comes out and moves automatically until the woman climaxes.
Just the anticipation made Selena's panties wet.
Once you start, you can't stop.
That fact excited her.
'What if I used this while walking around the mansion...?'
If she were caught, there would be irreparable rumors.
Her carefully built image would be destroyed, and she might be branded as a promiscuous woman or a perverted noble.
But that very risk gave Selena a thrill.
In the end, Selena took off her soaked panties and put them in the drawer.
She placed the dildo against her lower body, and love juices dripped from where it touched.
'Just a little fun...'
She closed her eyes and activated the dildo.
Instantly, it was inserted, and a lightning-like jolt of pleasure shot up her spine.
"Haaang...!"
The sensation was more powerful than she expected, and Selena let out a loud moan without realizing it.
'Did someone hear?'
She stood up from the chair with the dildo still inside.
The dildo rotated inside her, giving her waves of pleasure.
Creak-
She carefully opened the door and checked the hallway, but as before, no one was there.
"Whew..."
Selena let out a sigh of relief.
In the strange tension, her love juices dripped to the floor from the pleasure.
The dildo spun and occasionally thrust inside her, repeating the insertion.
'Time to go.'
Click-clack-click-clack-
Unconsciously wearing a seductive smile, Selena stepped out into the hallway.
