Feedback needed - updating the fantasy basketball auction values formula
🕑 Added 2024-08-25 01:37:35 +0000 UTCHey everyone - I've just started working on beefing up the auction league tools on Hashtag Basketball, and I'm looking for your feedback.
The current formula uses two inputs to generate the auction value: total budget, and max single bid. The results can be found here:

A new formula that I've just created uses three inputs: total budget, number of teams, number of roster spots, this helps make it more specific to your league since leagues vary in size. Here's an example of the values generated based on the new formula I've created: total budget (set at $200), number of teams (12), number of roster spots (13) using per-game averages (you'll be able to edit the default options to match your league):
So, my question is, which option do you prefer? Please vote below:

Looks like the new formula has win in a landslide! I should have it ready by tomorrow morning, and will use it for all of the auction calculations in the premium tools.

These additional variables are probably 95% of what I'm looking for. Basically shortcutting the need to so my own spreadsheets with z score type manipulation
