I absolutely still think it is too, you could really dive in and pick apart the intentions of each first level and how it tries to invite you in. Maybe I'll revisit this someday

I'll review The Longest Journey! And yeah - I absolutely do see the progression as I go through these. I can hear myself becoming more confident speaking, and the scripts getting more pacier. Even in this first level fridays series alone the last episode is miles ahead of the first. It's cool :)
I do think First Level Fridays is a really neat idea! There's an art to a good first level that teaches you what to expect from a game.
