An overdue update!

Long time no see - apologies for being on the quieter side.
Since the last update the Scarface video and the Shadow of Memories video have come out (go watch the Shadow of Memories video here! It’s a fascinating game)
As you might’ve noticed I didn’t charge for the month of May since I didn’t release any videos - I took a bit of time off it all, nothing serious just needed a bit of a refresh. Caught up with family, worked on some projects outside of YT, thought a bit about where I want to take the channel, that sort of thing.
One of the directions I’m always threatening to take the channel is towards more behind the scenes stuff, and I’ve been experimenting with different ways to do that this past month.
The next video coming out is about Just Cause 2 mobile, a game that was completely finished but cancelled at the last minute. I had a great conversation with the CEO of the company who developed the game, and I’ve been putting together a piece that incorporates parts of that interview. There’s some great insight into what it was like being a mobile developer in the mid to late 2000s, he shared a lot of yet unseen content and footage from the game, and personally it’s been a really fun shift in mindset putting together such a different style of video.
It’s also serving as a practice for a bigger, multi-interview video about a little known but surprisingly large Sydney based developer from the 90s who worked on a lot of licensed games that were way ahead of their time. I won’t say too much more than that yet but you might be able to figure it out from there ;)
I should say that there’s no intention to stop the more traditional minimme videos, I’m just dipping my toes into different styles and trying to push myself out of my comfort zone. And that’s mainly why it’s all taking a bit longer.
So yeah - that’s been what’s going on. That Q&A is still to come, monthly blogs will resume, and so will the Reliving videos where I rewatch my older videos. Thanks for sticking by, and if you’re new here - welcome! Thank you too!
