Listening right now - love it as always - but I am insufferable and had to pop in with this: the Great Schism wasn’t over the date of Easter. That was one of the things the East and the West disagreed on - along with married clergy and the primacy of the Bishop of Rome (aka the Catholic pope) - but the big division was over the Roman Catholics adding the filioque to the Apostle’s Creed. That’s the little line about the Holy Spirit proceeding from “the Father and the Son.” Previously the Holy Spirit just proceeded from “the Father”. Orthodox did NOT like that and felt it made a big change to their doctrine. SO SORRY!!! But I am (a) a nerd with seminary degrees AND (b) an Orthodox Christian, so I couldn’t let it go, lol…
