POLL: Times on visible buffs
🕑 Added 2021-02-09 20:19:18 +0000 UTCI have made the mod with some hidden buffs that the sim is wearing the specific perfume, and and some showed buffs that will be different depending on what the sim think about the perfume. I did give the showed buff in some cases shorter lifespan than the hidden buff, just because my thought about some reactions would not last as long as the perfume would stay on the sim. However, because I for now have decided to not allow sims to spray perfume on them when they already have perfume on (before it have faded away), it isn´t anything showing that your sim still has perfume on and if trying to use again it might be confusing if there are no visible buff telling it is still active.
I have plans for adding so that sims can apply perfume when already using them, by skill with unlocking layering perfumes and normally by just applying more of the same perfume when it starts to fade, and if they apply too much at the same time they will get bad results. But this will come later on.
I do wonder if it makes sense to have different times on the visible buff and the hidden buff, if it is confusing, and if it is, if that may change when I add the other things I mentioned about removing the lock for applying perfume times in the same period of hidden buff. Or if it is not confusing at all.
The reactions mostly affected of this is the Fine and the Bored versions, they will be a reaction if the sim dosn´t really like or dislike the perfume. I have thought the might feel something but probably forget after an hour. Even if the persume still is on them and will cause other sims reactions like allergy or happiness or uncomfort.
Another thing to take in mind is that I have in plan to make perfumes last longer or shorter for different versions. I think I will have like short medium and long version, but this will come in the future too. But a thing like this can make it difficult for players to know how long the buffs will stay by just looking at the clock.
