Orphanage is AMAZING!!! I would also recommend Session 9. And Blank/JL: Do not confuse the 1944 Uninvited with the 1987 movie of the same name. Though that would be hilarious - it is SOOOO bad.

I'm a few days late on this, but I would recommend some horror that's not necessarily in the mainstream. El orfanato (The Orphanage) is one of the most affecting and moving horror films you will ever see. Tragic and terrifying. The Uninvited (1944), very old it may be, it is one of the most beautiful horror films you will ever see. One of the OG haunted house flicks, it's gothic horror at its best.
