I dig this flick. Funny thing about this flick. The mom was supposed to die in the kitchen which is why she's taken out of the picture and sent to the neighbors. Originally, Gizmo was supposed to be the villain, but Spielberg thought he was too cute and wanted to market him as a toy. That's why Gizmo doesn't do much min the movie until the end. The script didn't require him to do much but hang out in Billy's backpack because he was supposed to be "Stripe".

Oh my gosh, I haven't watched this in SO long. I must have been 20 or under because hooooooooly fuckballs I did not realize that every single person in this movie is dumb as shit! (Except the Asian guy) I was 100% rooting for the Gremlins this time around (and Gizmo) 🤣 The police drove away from a guy actively being attacked, just fuckin drove away 🤦‍♀️ Best part has always been (even though I love "kiss my grits" Flo) when the gremlins messed with her chair & she got straight up LAUNCHED out the window. I do remember hating her for threatening to kill Barney. And why didn't the gremlins multiply from drinking alcohol?? Gizmo in the Barbie car is life lol. 👏👏👏👏👏

The cop was Mike from Breaking Bad. The movie was "It's a Wonderful Life". The 'boobies' conversation in Breaking Bad was referencing the actress who plays Kate in this. (... which is one of many timely coincidences that make me think that Blank is programming around Stranger Things ... but maybe Stranger Things is just the Kevin Bacon of tv shows)
