I love the island underwater moment. I remember when I first watched it and the camera flew out of the plane and down through the clouds, I was very excited thinking this is one of THOSE lost moments.

For all it's flaws, you can really see the seeds of The Leftovers in Lost. Damon Lindelof would never have been able to make The Leftovers without making Lost first.

Well, the showrunners, Darlton, used to do some short webisodes themselves. I remember Damon Lindelof saying Jack was his favorite, and Carlton Cuse saying Sawyer was his favorite in one of those videos. In fact, in one of the videos, they were talking about how the show would end (back then it was probably on season 4 or something like that) and they had a flashforward for themselves, too. They were a lot older, the show had ended and they were talking about the ending in the flashforward. It was pretty funny. If you can find those webisodes, you should watch them. :)
