Yes Jack at no.2! To quote you: “Absolutely.” Lol. This is one if my favorite episodes. I always tear up at Ben’s “because he;s the only one who will have me.” Phenomenal acting by Michael Emerson. His story in the flash-sideways with Alex is my favorite, along with Locke and Jack’s. The journeys and stories of these three characters (against the ever mysterious and fascinating backdrop of the island and island lore) is what makes this show so special to me. (Honorary mention to: Sun and Jin, Hurley, Sayid, Desmond, and Richard.)

He cracked a bit with Hurley's conversation with his mom, describing the Island, and also another moment i can't remember right now...

One of my favourite episodes. Always moves me to tears. I love Ben so much, such a brilliantly written character. And Michael Emerson is the best.

Agreed. Terry O'Quinn's performance is especially stunning in my opinion—not to downplay Emerson's, but the transition between Locke and Flocke is so effective and yet also suitably understated, I never quite stop being in awe. It's really interesting every time I rewatch Lost, watching from the first instance of O'Quinn playing Flocke (before the viewer is informed), noticing those subtle distinctions in his performance.

Michael Emerson and Terry OQuinn both won Emmys for LOST. Well deserved!

Daniel Curry

I remember the ABC commercial for this episode specifically teasing "the death of Benjamin Linus" ...I was convinced too.

David Caine

I was guessing and hoping that after the Black Rock dynamite scene Jack was going to climb the List several spots, glad to be right.

Never seen Jimmy so close to tears! ALMOST GOT YA!

THIS

Jimmy the reason Jacob didn't stop the knife was simple. Just like L from Deathnote he knew his rivalry with Light(MIB in this instance) wasn't going to end anytime soon. So he thought the only way to win was to die and have his heirs take on the battle for him.

Mark McKeown

"I don't care how many boys he touches" loll

I cannot wait for episode 9!!

This show is about characters. It is why I'll always hold it a favorite and one of the best of all time. It creates a wonderful set of mysteries to draw out tension and speculation, but the show is about the people and it is top notch at taking these people through the ups and downs of life. There is always an uneasiness about "trusting" Ben, but when he comes to Sun and offers help, he appears at his most decent. Not to mention his speech to Ilyana.

Michael Harrop

Hey Jimmy, would you consider posting a full reaction to the series finale for Patrons? Obviously without video included but theres so much going on in that episode!

Gotta love that homecoming theme at the end when jack and Hurley reunite with beach camp

Ben has always been my favourite character, i was so nervous watching this episode when it aired, was convinced this was the end of him.

Daniel Gray

I said a while back that episodes 4, 5, 6 and 7 is one of the best run of episodes in the show and the fact you 2 parted 3 of them, it seems you are inclined to agree.
