please do s runoff poll that pits the top 2 shows here against battlestar!

You would fucking love billy bob thorton in Fargo. He is absolutely great

Cabba

hunter x hunter needs to win yo

Michael

I'm sure you could squeeze Deadwood in there, too, despite it resoundingly losing the poll =P

TouchTheGarlic

Or maybe he should watch it after the first season, since it's partially a remake. He's probably already seen it anyways.

Dean Cyphers

Yeah I'm fine with them as long as they're not overwhelming which in this case it's beginning to be.

SoA is so very good . I started watching SoA because I like one of the actors but I was hooked after 3 episodes I think , it's really good .

Antiquity

Gurren Lagann

Tina

SOA

True Detective Season 1

Thomas Hansen

If it ends up being Fargo, I'd strongly recommend watching the movie first if you haven't already seen it.

Dean Cyphers

Agreed. People sleep on POI. Maybe after Fargo?

No chance for Person of Interest ever winning a poll and that's a shame. Hopefully it's Fargo then. Just not another anime.

Light Yagami

Hunter hunter!!!

Dean Cyphers

You already have 3 animes in your rotation. We really don't need a 4th. Let's leave room for something else. Person of Interest or Fargo would be awesome!

If a series needs over 10-20 episodes for you to start enjoying it, then why bother with it when you can watch a series that you'd enjoy from episode 1?

DougRaw

If you do do HunterxHunter, moving your 10 episode cut off over to 20 episodes would make a huge difference! Like others have said, it starts off slow but is worth it! (Also 20 20 minutes episodes is like 10 of those 40 minutes ones so.... not that unfair a change!)

Sons of Anarchy and Justified are so underrated

For sure. Raylan Givens is a slick mo fo

A lot of people sleeping on Justified...

I’ve only seen the first season of Fargo so far but that was enough for me to vote for it. I know you’d fucking love it

If HunterxHunter wins don’t do the dub it’s mid af it’s not by Funimation but Viz trust me on this one

karth

The anime definetely has an ending and wraps up pretty nicely. The show starts out lighter but gets extremely dark in places. It's certainly darker than MHA which he enjoys.

Is it wrong I didn't even finish reading the list before clicking Person of Interest? 🤷

Daniel Zhang

Hunter x Hunter is a great show, Jimmy! It may seem for younger audiences and be slower paced at first, but it gets darker if you’re willing to be patient. I think we have similar tastes, and I’m sure you would love Hunter, since you seem to enjoy FMA and My Hero Academia a lot. Just gotta be patient, I guess.

Please keep in mind that Hunter x Hunter is 150 episodes of an incomplete story that will likely never be finished in animated form. It's also pretty heavily geared towards a younger audience, in my opinion, and not exactly what I'd think is your kind of show. I'm not saying that you shouldn't watch it, but I do hope that you don't hesitate to drop it if you end up not being a fan.
