"he was executed" "executed sounds a bit much" WHAT!? 🤔 🤣 that's exactly what happened though..the thing is that to us they are aliens and that's why we/ or they struggle to empathize with them. Of course a lot of humans like to belittle others because they're not like them and believe that they are superior . If this were humans the viewer would be way more horrified from beginning to end about how they are treated. But because we are unable to see them like us we can't really empathize in the same way. It's still terrible of course - but not quite the same. It should be though.

Haven't seen this movie in ages, if I remember correctly, it's bizarre. Still remember enjoying it though, even though it was years ago. (Edit: After watching the reaction, it was better than what I remembered).

the director of this movie is called Neill Blomkamp. Other movies he directed are for example "Chappie" with Hugh Jackman and District 9 main actor Sharlto Copley and "Elysium" with Matt Damon. But this is still his best one by far! ❤

And again, one of my favorite films! Saw it twice in theaters with different people because I wanted to see what they thought and we all loved it. A strange and unique spin on the documentary style and sci-fi action fused together! Hope you enjoy it!

Oh shit. Looking forward to your reaction to 3 billboards. I watched it on a flight earlier this year and really enjoyed it. Some fantastic acting performances.
