Well fuck, I thought the back half would be a hard sell, but it’s great you’re enjoying it. It’s still my favorite animated arc, and looking back now over a year later, I appreciate even more how tight the writing is in terms of theme. All Might asks Endeavor “why is it important to be the strongest?” Endeavor resolves to be something more than just the guy who punches the most baddies. The provisional trainees succeed by using their powers to inspire rather than attack. Aoyama reminds us that heroism is also a rescue of the spirit. All of these seemingly disparate and random events do build on each other and lead to an amazing finale.
