While I like R&M, I'll admit it's not one I personally enjoy reactions for, and I think some of the bodily humor/grossness might be a bit off putting for you (it's my least favorite part of the show). That being said, I hope you still like it, since it won the poll and everything. I would agree it gets better as it goes, but it's also definitely not for everyone.

If it helps, the pilot episode is literally the worst episode of the series and it’s writing and comedic delivery only increases in quality over the course of the series.

Yooo, this'll be a journey. One of the best shows, one of the worst fandoms, said as a happy member of said fandom. It's pretty good from jump, but it gets progressively better as it goes. A solid handful of episodes in the series that I would put up in the discussion of All-Time Best.

The pilot does focus more on the crude humour, I think. The writing gets better, imo
