Huh, first time hearing people say they prefer the American ending (this was the UK version you saw.) Wrong again! Oh well, glad you liked it overall. Was a fun watch :)

honestly the original ending fits better. I didn't expect this to be the darker ending version but since its not canon that helps a little lol

To be fair they didn’t make a second one and apparently Sarah dying in the cave and hallucinating her daughter isn’t canon because she made it out in the second one and then goes back for some reason.
