How about Stand by Me (1986)? ;) Imho, it's still the gold standard of child acting.

I think the acting in this show is superb, guest actors included. Shockingly, I even think the children are played well. I find them more believable than the kids in Ozark, Stranger Things, and every other show I can think of except Arcane. Sure, Sixth Sense and My Girl stand out and are clearly better, but good kid actors are tough to find and direct.
