After watching this episode for the first time, I had "In the Light" by Led Zeppelin on repeat for days.
Just When I Thought I Was Out...
This whole season making you think it was about the newly termed serial killers when really it was about Holden's journey was so great. Love this show and this is one of my favorite season 1 finales.

Yup, also the show cost way more than Netflix thought it would (all Fincher budgets are very high) and Netflix was not going to pay for his demands, and there's no way I guy like him was going to compromise his vision.

Jimmy I don't think it's about "not liking the finale". It's because it doesn't seem entirely finished. That's because there were plans for a third season. But Fincher had some kind of a burnout after season 2 and he said he was too exhausted to focus on a tv show right now. So he went back to directing movies. So...this was a few years ago - and some people have given up on a third season by now. But I haven't yet. Maybe it will take quite a while. But I still have hopes that Fincher will continue the show at some point. And if not...it's still good! But I also appreciate that Netflix doesn't continue the show without Fincher, I wouldn't want that either tbh.

I understand Jimmy. Holden is on my list. π he was so on fire this episode. And then at the end it all got to him. He pretended like nothing effected him throughout the season (although we see his reaction when Debbie was wearing those shoes, and how it all affected his relationship with her). Bill was way more open about how it affected him emotionally while Holden tried to hide it. But in the end he couldn't even say why he visited Kemper...- because he had no one else to talk to? And then it ended in a full blown panic attack. I mean it's no wonder after he tried to hold it all in for the entire season.
