In their house downstairs, popcorn is dropped on the floor, then someone goes back upstairs. The going upstairs footage in one take is the part I'm talking about. There's a turn on the staircase, then up to the top floor, then into another room and then the camera's actually been in the mirror the entire time.

BTW, Extraction and Extraction 2 are both amazing, but the second one in particular is the best action movie I've seen since Edge of Tomorrow. Hell, it might even be better.

Extraction 2 (2023) - just came out on Netflix last week; I remember you and Marcus enjoying the first one and I don't know if you've seen the trailer but this new one is, in my opinion, bonkers and more of the same bombastic action fun you enjoyed from the first! Kind of reminds me of the progression of The Raid to The Raid 2: similarly, story is less focussed than the first but some ante-upping ambituous action set pieces make up for it.

Speed Racer (2008) - hyper stylized adaptation of the 1960s anime, from the Wachowskis. Colorful, fast paced, VERY goofy but with stellar over the top action race sequences. It's bombastic and a hoot in my opinion.

Bram Stoker's Dracula. I dare say this is Gary Oldman's best performance of his career....but it's really difficult to decide. But while the movie is really great - Gary Oldman makes it a must-see. And it's directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

The Peacemaker - 1997 action. George Clooney and Nicole Kidman. Solid 90s action movie! The Invention of Lying - a "what if" romantic movie, interesting concept Deep Impact - you watching Armageddon recently and if you haven't seen it - this is a sister movie (same year, similar plot) but with a very different style. Definitely worth watching! "Lincoln Lawyer" - thriller, Matthew Mcconaughey, interesting court scenes.

Charlie Wilson’s War- pretty funny, competent but ridiculous protagonists. Some of the funniest scenes I’ve seen, reminds me a bit of my other rec that you liked, death of Stalin.
