Lizzy Caplan is the only character I liked in this movie and they killed her off before the third act. Definitely an example where the sequel is better than the original. 10 Cloverfield Lane rocks.

lol yeah all good points, on rewatch, the romantic storyline absolutely slogs down the monster stuff which was pretty much all i remembered from it. that monster is an asshole and i love him for that
